LOL!!

Btw what are we all going to do when google perfects the self driving car?? Would you buy a 911 turbo that drives itself? You can talk on your phone, eat, drink and comment on rennlist while your TT screams down the freeway at 110 mph, and all for $300K

The 991 is 3/4 of the way there!! Rear wheel steering, PDK-only, collision warning system, back-up camera, stability control, traction control, ABS++, night vision, the Taco holder for Ilko...And Every other week Porsche releases another "special" edition car, so they may do a 991G for Google?....

Lol!

You will pay extra for the PLC (Patrick Long Control)

That way you can act like you are a racing driver and all you have to do is sit there!

I'm all for collision warning.. Anyone else?

Girls would love that.. Then they could text 24 hours a day instead of 23 and a half..

But you will want a manual tranny porsche in your garage to go with it if you are a true purist.

991 is the generation of daily driving. It is to be used and used a lot. Anybody who keeps them parked for slight weekend use is missing the big picture of this new design.
I am confused.... why is manual Turbo not for being "used and used a lot"?
I do use mine all the time, everyday. The only negative thing about manual TT for me is the absence of hill-hold assist function (as I drive up the hills and there is always someone who stops right on my rear bumper at the uphill red light).

By the way,I have spanked a new McLean twice at the drag strip...

Additional,Not sure if I like that electric steering,what happens if it goes hay wire and those rear wheel turn the wrong way at high speed..Not Good...
You are right.

997TTS = 30,9 from 0-300km/h
991TTS = 30.4 from 0-300km/h

You'll see how lucky you are!

991 TTS with some additions arrives to 285.000 dollars easily!
In Slovenia part of the EU (2nd country south of Germany) 991TTS costs 270,000 EURO all in, (US $ 365K) . Ha ha ha Insane!

I love my TT. Best car I ever had.. For the price of a new 991 TT I could have a 997 TTs and a 997 TT.

Now that would be a nice garage.

Just my opinion..

Coming from a 997.2 C4S, I was thinking about getting a 991 TT next year as my daily driver, but then would it make sense to go all the way to a $200K TTS to retain the exclusivity (= future resale price given scarcity) that TT's used to have - still have - in 997, 993, etc...? Then I thought about a GT3, given better pricing, and the new PDK-S (I grew up with manual, but unfortunately my 42 mile/day commute takes me through some heavy traffic, so despite some frustration this is what works for me these days - I do not like the PDK lag, but would likely get home a little more tired if I didn't have it). I do not want to buy another car again in a couple of years, but even if I were to keep a new 991, either TT/TTS or GT3, for 4 years, the depreciation on these "special" cars would be brutal - higher mileage in the upper line cars can be quite damaging for future resale. In the end, a flawless 997.2 TT with less than 6K miles that I believe was never rev'd above 4K RPM showed up (radio stations programed were mostly classical music...) last week, and I upgraded from my (great) 40K mile C4S to this one. I am very happy, and now have a couple more years to see what happens with the 991 market, plus some miles on the bank to use without further depreciation. Needless to day I am very happy (with the car and the depreciation that has already hit it).

I'll let him post his own photos, but I've seen it and can confirm - it is nice and very clean! May you have many happy miles!

My apologies for the poor quality of the picture (I have no idea of where my camera is), and thank you. Dealer friend tells me it belonged to a nice mature couple - car was never driven in manual or sport modes, and the nav system in PCM was never used. I will try to preserve it in the best way I can (I might keep it regardless of what comes ahead for 991's), given that this is one of the last 997's built (in fact it has a 991 launch color). So no mods (and no tracking either - I usually rent so as to be able to avoid having atrophied muscles on my left leg). As a bonus, I avoided the steepest portion of the depreciation curve. But going back to the thread subject, I agree that F, SLS and Mac have become more "affordable" given current P prices. But also, for dd's like myself (this is the only car I have space for), I would not underestimate the pressure coming from AMG and ///M for (great packages for nearly half the price). Fiat is getting double support from PAG; Maserati is now advertising in almost any luxury magazine - quite a few new ones now in SoCal (and I hear over $20K off msrp). I am sure new 991 TT/TTS will be stunning but no doubt there are costs associated to having the latest and newest. And thanks again.
