New 991 TTS
I was invited when the car was presented to a small number of customers before the summer.
Yesterday went to the dealer thinking to order one for 2014 delivery.
Finally decided to wait: still not sure if I Prefer 991 to 997.
What's your opinion?

Can't tell. May be to new and I have to get used to it.
Honestly speaking more power is not what i'm looking for: more than enough on 997.
AWS is something I like.
I'll try it after the winter and think again at it

Unless there is something wrong with your 997 Turbo, I have a hard time moving on. I'm keeping my '09 (last of the old block) for a while. No motivation to move to the 991 for me, and I prefer snickety snick 6 speed while my knees are still good.

As said earlier, there's a lot of good choices out there in the $200k range. I don't see myself being able to justify that kind of money for a TT. Wouldn't even consider the TTS for the same-ish money as a lightly used MP4-12C.

Drifting
Having got to drive the McLaren on several occaisions (including a whole weekend) I would take the McLaren over the 991 in a second. No matter how fast the 991 is the interior and just "super car" feel of the McLaren is so incredible..There is really no comparison.
I feel Porsche has failed miserably with the 991 interior. If I wanted a Lexus I would have bought one by now.. It's unfortunate but this is the first time that I am planning for my next car to be other than a Porsche..
And 200k for 991 TT is absurd. Like the others said at that price range you might as well step up to an Italia, McLaren, Lambo etc..
Go to car show and see how much attention you Porsche gets over the other exotic marques. Basically none..No one cares...
I love my TT. Best car I ever had.. For the price of a new 991 TT I could have a 997 TTs and a 997 TT.
Now that would be a nice garage.
Just my opinion..

On the Mclaren. Just got back from Vegas where I drove 15 laps at Exotic Racing. I know a limited experience..... I asked an owner of the place a Frenchman as to what car cost more on maintenance (Lambo;both Gallardo&Murcielago: Ferrari both 430&458: Posrche turbo S, Nissan GTR,and Mclaren.
His words were no comparison Mclaren has cost him more money than dirt. And you know which one he said was the most trouble free.
And this is 44 exotics being driven like crap by newbies.
I drove the 430,Lambo and Posche S. Lambo was close but yes maybe prejudice but Porsche was tighter and just as fast if not faster. If it just sounded like the Murcielago..damn.

and IMO this is exactly the biggest problem for porsche. For $200K there are some serious machines to be had on the second hand market that are truly special. Now don't get me wrong, I love my TT but no way would I drop that kind of money on a new 991 TT
