Hey,
Just wanted to advise on the completion of my install.
After being thoroughly annoyed with the PCM 2.0, I decided to go aftermarket.
I reviewed a lot of options, then after reading up and asking questions I decided to go with the Euro Motor Speed Kit. (MOST HUR, with Painted Bezel).
Total install time was about 2 hours. I will not go into it, but it's a breeze if you follow directions and read their instructions thoroughly.
Since I utilized the kit from EuroMotorSpeed to expedite the install it ensured that no wires were harmed during this process.
This kit is very thorough, and offers the most straightforward connections and interface offered for this car.
My background, I have installed numerous high end systems in my own vehicles over the years, including complete interior removals, with sound deadening, and separates, etc. With the 997 Turbo, I wanted something that was not obtrusive, looked basically stock but offered the functionality that I need. (IPod, iPhone- Bluetooth Audio, Telephone, GPS etc). I decided to go with the pioneer Avic 150BH.
Note, I will probably perform a review on the unit at a later time, since there is still not much out there. But if you have questions don't hesitate to ask.
Cost: Most HUR $795.00 e-bay store, Pioneer Avic 150BH -945.00 (Total- $1,740.00)
Lastly, Loi is without a doubt one of the most responsive people in the industry. He answers all calls, returns e-mails promptly. I would not hesitate to do business with him again and gladly give referrals.

Very nice! What are your impressions of the Z-150 so far?
Does it have voice commands for setting music? I have a PCM 2.0 + Tooki right now and navigating a 64gb iPod is just stupid on this thing.
Is the sound noticeably improved? I was unsure if this would have much impact given it gets routed through MOST fiber optic to an amp's D/A.

So far so good. It's a little slow to start up, but it's tolerable.
The interface is very good, the gui and layout is very convenient. The app mode is kind of ok, a little funky, probably something I would not use.
They provide no iPod cable with the unit, and that costs a bout 50.00 more.
BT Audio streaming is good, a little static if device is in your pocket. I've found it to be consistent.
Sound quality is amazing. Even integrated into the bose speakers... Very satisfied in this area .

Yes. Full voice commands. Even for navigation. Trying to get siri to work more consistently. Tough in a cab with the top down. Noise filter microphone would be nice.

Yes. Sounds is greatly improved. A lot higher volume levels without distortion.
You have the ability to set multiple eq's, high pass/low pass filters, sub level, sonic level, loudness, etc.
I will probably not replace the speakers. Since it's a cabriolet, there's too much ambient noise coming in from tires, wind, mechanical and exhaust...
Overall would recommend. Easy install for the DIY as well.

Thanks for the detailed reply!
Part of me wants to go whole hog and do a whole system but probably not very good bang for the buck.
Did you install an external mic as well? For my navtv Bluetooth I have a mic wired up right by the dome lights right now and it's pretty unobtrusive.

Yes, I used the one provided with the Pioneer. I did not see a way to interface the existing one in my vehicle.
I mounted it on top of the steering wheel pod, kind of hidden
Doing a full system in a coupe it might come out ok. But the road noise in a cab, it's not justifiable.
Honeslty, I think a proper sub would change the whole system...

Hi
I have a Porsche 997 (2007) with the BOSE soundsystem.
I have tried to install a AVIC-X950BH and the MOST-HUR 997 system without getting any sound. Do you have any suggestions on what could be wrong?
Thanks for your help.

I had the AVIC 140BH installed. It came with the Pioneer faceplate which I don't care for. Where can I find a Porsche faceplate like yours?

Did this integrate with the steering wheel controls successfully?

Yes, in my TT volume (left) and channel scrolling (right) only (up/down). The only thing I don't like about my Pioneer AVIC 140BH is it doesn't have a favorites setting that will allow you to switch between preset favorites. I listen to Sirius/XM and must scroll between channels to select my favorite stations.

Is it possible to integrate the phone related steering wheel buttons/functions with any third party units?
