Default need some feeback 997.1 TT purchase Canada

Its been a long time since i posted here..I might be returning my 2 P.cars in a trade for a 997.1 TT

The dealer is offering me this :

09 997 TT , 14,000km , 3.5 year Porsche Warranty.
Black on black.

Here are the options
Full leather , exterior package painted, adapt sport seats , exter pkg painted exter color, thicker steering wheel , metal door sill insignia , torque vectoring PTV , 19 inch RS spyder wheels , Bluetooth interface , xm radio , floor mats
,clear bra,tinted windows.

for 109 k

Is this a fair price ?

I am exchanging :

a 996 01 convertible with 60km and my 06 997 CS with 34 km.

Balance of 43 k to give the dealer.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Seems high - what's the US$ equivalent. Also, torque vectoring didn't appear as an option until the 2010 997.2.

Not true. 6.1% import duty, approximately $500 in fixed fees, and shipping need to be added to the US price to get the price landed in Canada.

I'm very impressed with your knowledge but who said the car is in the US? OP mentions km's so probably not a US car.

Regardless, clearly I was referring to the $$ exchange only. The other poster was asking about the exchange rate to compare the cost and I was simply stating the current rates.

But if we are going to list all the costs, what about shipping? Edit, you already included shipping.

I am attracted to this care because : It looks mint , previous owner purchased extended warranty and 3.5 years are left on the care. plus the RS spyder wheels are worth 5k $. The document clearly states Porche Torque Vectoring option 220. Could it be that Canadian vehicles received this option and not USA for 2009 ? i have no clue ?... the USA to Canadian currency exchange is identical

so 109 canadian is too high ? how much should i offer ? The warm weather here in Montreal is making people porsche crazy.. I was looking at cars.com and other usa sites.the prices seem equal..

An American car in Canada is also worth a little less to some here.. when it comes to resale..( that is what i have been told ).

thanks for your time and helping me.

thanks for sharing. Farfelc2s Your car looks superb.

If i compare the 109 asking to your 106 its not bad at all.

The car has a MSRP of 177 k with 3.5 years of warranty left - was locally owned - is black on black so good for resale and is Canadian. ( i am tired of black and would have preferred a seal grey or other )..

The option list on mine does not include sports chrono but the dealer says it has sports chrono ! I don't remember when i test drove the car !!!! the Turbo is so fast i was focused on the road !!

Your PCCB and wood option are expensive ones !
I will send the entire option list of mine.

I think the conversion of US to Canadian prices is more 1 : 1.1. Roughly 10% more CAD over USD. This being said, the CND exchange is creepng up yet again... Bad for tourism. Good for car imports. Check out Auto Trader Canada and I think you'll find some 09 TTs there to compare to.

Seems a little high...I would always try and find their breaking point on the price. Seems like you should be able to get them to drop down a couple more grand...

Well after looking at all the cars sites in north america ) it appears that the 109k price is not bad. Maybe i am drinking the porsche alcohol and just want the car

The lower cost 09's have either a wrong colour package or have no warranty or are american cars with mysterious history.

I found some more expensive 09 TT's with soft leather seats ( i don't want that ) or convertibles that are 8-9k more expensive.

I don't want another black car but it seems like a good choice for resale.

My friends are telling me to get a TT convertible and have the best of both worlds.. I am not sure.
