Is this a Carrera with even more "Turbo Look" disguise, or is this the 991 Turbo in Carrera disguise? Judging by the cooling system, this probably is the Turbo!
The Next 911 Turbo Spied!
Before you think these are just another set of Porsche 911 spy shots, take a closer look: these are the very first spy photos of the new 911 Turbo. Those big air-inlets in the rear fenders are no longer stickers that Porsche put there on the normal 911 prototypes, these are real holes. And look at those wide fenders and the rear bumper with the integrated exhaust pipes and air outlets on the sides. This is the real deal, the icon of icons; The next 911 Turbo.
But how much power will the new 911 Turbo have? We have heard rumors talking about all between 550-600 wild horses powering all four wheels. And it seems like the guys over at Porsche have made it possible to fit the engine with its turbos and intercoolers without needing a big wing at the back. Maybe the “whaletail” wing will be optional and the retractable wing standard.
I guess we will just have to wait and see. The “normal” 911 versions are planned to be official at the Frankfurt car Show in September later this year, making it possible that they will reveal the Turbo in Geneva in March 2012.

Looks like rear fenders are buttoned to the chassis. It might not be a turbo at all...just slightly overcamouflaged widebody.
OTH there could be a corner of an IC visible from that hand-cut exit vent, upper LH corner.

I can't say I know a lot about Porsche cars but I think this might be the new TT. The reason I suggest this is because if you look at the new Panamera Turbo and see how the wing "unfold" itself, I see there is some trace here for this car as well (especially if you look at the bit "wing" bit just sitting right above the rear bumper.
Now that being said, if this is really the new turbo, I would be a little sad because it basically looks a lot more similar to the standard Carerra other than the two scoops on the side.

I love how wide it is. But dare I say it looks like one of those Wicked 7 rebuilds.
For sure has one of those POP up wings like a Boxster or maybe more like the turbo Panamera where it pops up and the wingleys POP out the side further to make the wing wider?
This car should be my first turbo... Should!
