Turbo S sooo fast, why GT-R faster
I am really looking into getting a Turbo S. I see how fast the Turbo S is 0-60, 0-100, quarter ,etc. It blows away cars like the Nissan GT-R in these test. Why is the GT-R still faster on Nordschleife? They are both 4 wheel drive cars, they both have driver aids...Why am I seeing numbers of 7:48 for the Turbo S and 7:26 for the GT-R?

I am interested in knowing your overall thoughts when comparing the 2 cars. I have always had a P'car but despite the overall look of the GT-R I am still entertaining the idea of purchasing one. What caused you to leave it so quickly and go back to the Porsche?

Which one would you rather have? Which one is faster is irrelevant when talking about super cars.

Good point. I would rather have the one which drives and feels better. I am less worried about how fast one goes around the N-ring more about every day use. Being a Porsche'phile I dont know that I could buy anything other than another P-car but it has slowly crossed my mind.

Nothing else feels like a Porsche, there are other cars that are very fun to drive.

GTR is HUGE, heavy and fugly.
but when you drive it, you dont feel the wt, strange i know.
and that was not me driving, but two ALMS pro driving it.
but does it REALLY matter which one is faster?
it appears to me that you should buy the one that gets you harder. everything else is academic and pointless. if car made sense, we would and should be all driving honda accords.

I drove a friend's GTR around nearby twisties... The car is powerful. Pulls hard... I would say it felt close to my RUF Turbo R's power. It was planted and confidence inspiring. That being said, I wouldn't buy one. I think they're an amazing piece of machinery, but if I'm going to spend that much money I would want it to feel special. There was a sense of "occassion" (if that make sense) with even my very first 993. I didn't get that. I was very impressed with the car, however.
