Just find the midpoint and measure up from the edge of the deck lid. Blue painters tape and a level will help too.

To me, a "911" emblem is redundant. Even non-Porschephiles and commonfolk know a 911 when they see one. I say keep the factory badge-"Turbo S" or de-badge it.

how can the factory miss putting on the emblem unless the customer wanted it that way?? i recently saw a show on national geographics on the porsche factory...their qc seemed pretty good. the factory uses a template to fit the emblem at the same location on every car. unless the dealership has the same template i would say do wthout it. nice car btw.

It was an error on the dealership's part when they placed my order in the computer. I saw the documentary too - they would not have missed it at the factory. I wish I had the template they were using to line up the logo.

The dealer's body shop should have the template. Ask them how they do repairs without it.
