Default Any consensus on exhaust for daily driver?

I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on my daily driver. I like the deeper sound, but I don't want it to sound too over the top considering I drive it to/from work and parked in an underground parking structure (read: can get loud).

I was thinking Fabspeed, AWE, etc., but I'd like to get a short list of the relatively docile systems available.

Thanks.

Tubi, AWE, EP quiet, CG TUV...
Everything else is fairly loud.

Tubi or cg tuv, the others you mentioned are a bit louder.

Don't forget Fabspeed quiet. I can barely hear mine.

I think I'm leaning to the "moderate" level, which I understand to be mostly the AWE and Fabspeed.

Chris, as I understand it from your posts, you have the Fabspeed quiet version now, right? Did you ever have the AWE or hear it first hand? How does the AWE system compare to the Fabspeed Version 2 (Cab quiet) and Version 3?

ITA,

Why are you wanting to change? Is this for performance or aural reasons?

At 22K miles with the OEM exhaust, I think I notice a slightly louder growl at WOT and burble at idle.

I have the Cargraphic loud. It is fine in garages at low RPM's with modest throttle. And the very best part is, I can set off car alarms in the same garage if I want to. I was really worried my exhaust was going to be too loud but I am very happy with it. I would go a little louder than you think you are going to be comfortable with.

A little bit of both.

I want increased performance and some aural improvement to boot. However, because I drive it daily and work in a conservative atmosphere, I want to make sure I don't go over the top.

I wish there was some way of hearing them first hand (in MI), but I suspect that is unlikely. It is a bit hard to compare sound clips, as the cameras and computers vary so much.

When I first heard a Car Graphic loud on a friends turbo, I thought that would be to loud for me. Then I found that the TUV version is mostly sold outside the US, the mild version, while available in the US, is rarely sold here. So I ended up with the loud version and have been very happy with it. It is easy to modulate the noise when required by judicial use of the throttle. I can't speak to the HP gain, because I had it installed by the dealer before I took delivery of the car.

I had the fsq on my car for a yr, changed to tubi. The fsq is actually a more moderate exhaust, the later version anyway. They also tend to drone slightly as most of the 'modular' systems will do to their design. The tubi is a nice, clean 1 peice design, no joints to leak/drone.The fs stuff is good for the price without a doubt, as is the awe. In fact, the fs probably makes a bit more hp too. I've heard a couple of car's with the awe, pretty loud for my tastes. I also park in a underground garage in a conservative local and DD mine as well.
FYI, I've also heard the tuv sound version of the cg and the loud, the tuv version sounds really good, very clean, but will drone a bit. The loud one is, well loud. I personally would stay away from anything with loud, export, or race in the name. Can't be good in an underground garage or on a stop n go commute!

Tubi is the way to go.
