Come on, some us your TT with non-stock wheels!

I love the HRE P40s and GT3 RS wheels on the 997TT.

This thread has the potential of:

A. giving me a wheel complex
B. make me want to spend money on wheels
C. drive more, worry less about wheels
D. log on daily to look at all the cool wheels

My ulterior motive: I need to get a set of winter wheels. I can:

A. Get a set of Carrera III or Lobsters and use them during the winter; or
B. Demote my stock TT wheels to winter duty and get a set of "interesting" wheels for summer duty.

Now, if we could only get those bashful types to share some pictures.....

Choose B!!! When I get my TT, that's the plan.

If you dig through some of the threads here, some RL members have the P40s and RS wheels.

Porsche should spec those HRE P40's as the factory wheel. They just really compliment the car. That being said, I still love my GP7's

As promised.......one outside the gates at the glen, the other in the garage area. Overall, this combo is an amazing 31 lbs lighter than the stock wheel/tire setup.
BTW, these a cars are fast as hell at the track, really respond to a little negative camber(-1 fr/-2 rear)....

Those GP7s look great, but the P40 and RS wheel are just MONEY. And FWIW, those were the exact cars I had in mind (black and cobalt) when I made my choice.

lobsters look better on the turbo than any other 997 variant. Need some spacers, some springs and you are golden

I like the HRE P40 and the Champion RS171 in no particular order. I'll probably eventually pull the trigger on some charcoal P40s.
Another wheel I always liked and wished they would offer is the original 997TT test mule wheel.
