I got one from Santa! Atomic80 referred me to this system and it will be installed on my new TT when it arrives in a few months! Happy New Year.

Hope yours works better than mine, mine sucks. Eric at bumperplugs is a very good guy and vendor, the product is just not up to par imo. Like using parts from a '68 Buick on the space shuttle, they may bolt on, but they never work quite right.
just curious as to why they might be pulling out of the market, if indeed they are, GL.

If they are pulling out it may be they see the handwriting on the wall - they don't want to compete in a very small market if manufacturers are going to offer the iPod interface as an option.

Yes if I was doing it again I would just get whatever Porsche offers from the factory. all of the aftermarket stuff has a lot to be desired. I have the Nav Tv and it works fairly well most of the time, but there are still a few bugs IMO.

Doug, your playlist should be

1. Tubi 1000rpm
2. Tubi 2000rpm
3. Tubi 3000rpm
4. Tubi 4000rpm
5. Tubi 5000rpm
6. Tubi 6000rpm

Every now and then I get a "no CD changer" message. Always clears on the next startup, only happens about 20% of the time or less, mildly annoying. They supposedly have a fix, but any new unit should be good to go.

I've been having an error message reading "System Error: Navigation System No Amplifier" periodically ever since I had the Dension installed. Everything always seems to work OK despite the message but it's still annoying. More annoying is the fact that If I use the iPod & leave it connected in the car when I shut off the car, next time I turn on the car the system doesn't recognize the iPod & I have to disconnect it, wait a minute & reconnect it. I've gone through the steps Eric @ Bumperplugs said to go through to correct this but no luck so far. Aside from that, I find the interface tedious, for example, when scrolling through artists or albums, it will only fit a certain number of listings on a page. When you get to the end of the page, the last listing on the page will load up & start playing while the next page of listings loads up, which takes longer than it should.

Ari, that's exactly what mine does, not an isolated case, they all suck, they are not up to oem-par imo. FWIW, my brother's nav tv unit seemed to work better. If I was doing it again, I'd just get the porsche unit, how bad can it be?

glad to know I'm not the only one, Chris. Did you have Eddie & Matt at DD try to fix it? I was there several times to try to get this crap sorted out and they never mentioned to me that others were having the same problems.

I went by there one time, they referred me back to BP. I think the install was fine. It's unfixable, like trying to fix a heart with sheet metal screws.

Tequipment is coming out with a unit, not as 'fancy', but actually works.
