Default Finally took the car to redline, and holy crap!

Finally took my car for an acceleration run and holy ****, the car just explodes. So violently that I hit the rev limiter in the first 3 gears! I wasn't fast enough to catch it. Anyway the redline is lower on the TT than my C2S.

Just freaking insane.

CONGRATS!! how many miles before you did that? Don't worry I won't tell if you did it before the initial breakin

His dealer if you are reading umm - many people just post stuff on here. You know half of it "AIN'T" true.

I took mine to redline a few times after 400 miles on the Turbo.

Keep the rev's going - it likes to be revved.

I took my TT out on sunday for a spin.

On the ramp to I-95 was a school bus 3 cars ahead of me and it was going 45 mph seemingly on purpose.

There was a very short double lane and the bus was right at the end but I just said,,, WTF,, and in third let it go,,, and OMG

in seconds I passed all three cars and the bus on the right and was light yrs ahead of them by the time i toned it down at 110 mph at the end of the highway ramp!!!

This car is insane,, have to love it if you have a speed addiction.

I have 1,200 miles on it and it loves redline but only once on each drive til D-Day.

800 miles to go for nirvana 100% of the time!

The instant burst of acceleration for passing is just insane, no drama, just gobs of speed. Very addictive.

Cabman - you still waiting for nirvana at 2K? I think I hit it about 500 miles back hehe

I think I drive it more aggressively lately because it handles better since I have lowered it. It doesn't wander on the highway like before.

I still have to work on the launch. I can lauch my previous M5 with ease and the M3 but I guess I haven't practiced enough to correctly launch the Turbo.

Just a few more weeks and this will all be moot. I just dont want LE behind me without radar on when i am playing.

I ve noticed lately the FHP drive in their GT Mustangs without radar on and thats scary. I only see them on the other side coming towards me and my V1 is silent. They are getting smarter. There is no way to combat being clocked from way behind which is my biggest fear.

Just a thought.. stage III (exhaust, headers, flash) brings it to 600hp and the torque is amazing. if you think the car is wonderful stock you'll love it with a small hp boost. It will be a totally different car for you, it actually snaps your nexk back when u stomp on it, yummie.

I broke 1000 miles. Still taking at easy after that. What's even more amazing is all that burst of acceleration happens at 4000rpm to redline! The TT is not linear at all compared to the C2S, where it just hunkers down from just about any rpm. The TT takes time to spool up then, BAM, you're off like a rocket! Wicked fast.

I have almost 3500 miles on mine and can tell you the thing just gets stronger and stronger! The power is addicting and its fun to drive as well. After the first initial 500 miles I let loose without any complaints from the engine compartment. I only wish us Californians weren't limited to 91 octane fuel. A few points more make this beast, well, A BEAST! No fun driving an hour just to get my hands on 100 octane race fuel (but that doesn't stop me)! Here is a conversion chart for those living in the "Golden State". Remember after 94 octane you've reached the target our cars were programed for (in stock form). Take a look at the chart and only add enough 100 octane to get you where you need to be. 5 gallons of 100 mixed with 10 gallons of 91 will just do the trick. Put 6 in just to be on the safe side. No point in waisting money at $6.50 per gallon.

When I decided to check out of the rat race we were thinking Calif or FL but due to the strong second amendment rights in Fl we chose FL to live.

I didnt even know that they didnt have 93 octane gas.

Am I glad we made the right decision. Whats wrong with that state??

Go to google and type : sunocoinc Click on the site that says: California Sunoco 260 GT100 Locations. If I remember correctly type your zip code in the proper space and it will automatically give you all the nearest locations that carry 100 octane unleaded. What I do if its too far is go to the gas station with an empty tank and fill it completely with 100. When I am about 1/2 down i top ot off with 91 to get 94 and I am good to go with another tank. If you just want to test it out make sure you get at least 6 gallons of 100 to reach 94. Give your cars computer 15-20 minutes to get the full effect of the higher octane and then post your observations (this applies only to folks that have 91 as their best grade of gas (like California). Warning...........this can become habit forming so think about it before you dive in.
