Found this interesting article, the R8 is more capable than I thought

It's neat. But it's still not as neat as a Porsche-IMHO.

It's a compelling car, but its not an everyday car.

It might make a great everyday car, more room awd, carry two sets of stick behind the seats. If it doesn't get too pricey, I'll buy one. But, I would be getting it as a TT replacement or sports car, just an unusual daily driver.

Who said family car? A dd for me alone. I've read that two sets of golf clubs fit behind the seats. That's enough room for me.

The turbo crushes the R8 as expected. Just another 911 wannabe, it can join the NSX and all the rest
Seriously, it's a neat little car but it's no 911 turbo .

i agree, but it is a great looking car-performance wise, it is a match for a c4s. every car mag has an article about it this month. it seems like a gallardo that your audi dealer can maintain-what is wrong with that?

Perhaps the V10 version coming will measure up!

The styling on the Audi is a bit too futuristic for me , as if due for release in 2020 or something . the 997 looks set for the time period . of course they are both exceptional cars and you kind of get the feeling with all current german cars that there are no losers amongst them, regardless of your choice......

First of all, at about $10-20K more in the real world and about as competent, I'm not sure how well it stacks up to a C4S.

A TT??? I haven't read the article, but don't need to. Nolo contendere from any performance metric.

I have seen the car at the Chicago Auto show and posted some pics afterward. If anyone thinks the R-8's design will last...I'd like to interest you in some land.

Was that article using sourced test data or were they really getting a 3.4 0-60 from the stock TT?

i agree chris, it is turbo money, but look at the car-it is beautiful-awd, 420 hp, lots of interior room for us big guys, take it to an audi dealer for service-essentially a gallardo at half the price. how about when they put the v10 in it?
