CGT/997TT/F430
After driving my Carrera GT - driving the 997 Turbo is just too tame - wanted to ask any F430 owners how the drive is. I am interested in a manual 430 at sticker. If anyone is looking for a 997

I am willing to trade and pay the difference.

you could always send it to EVO for a little upgrade?
Also, Grussell on 6speed/ferrarichat has a red/tan 6speed 430 for sale. But you're not going to find one at sticker. More like 230-250k.

damn, your affair with the 997TT is shorter than a hollywood marriage!
compared to the CGT and RUF 996TT, your 997TT is going to feel very tame. why don't you have some motor and suspension work done done to your 997TT to bring it into the range of CGT. Stephen from IA added 100hp with his stage 3 kit and there's more to come! https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...hlight=stephen
I suspect you will be also disappointed with the F430 as well (except for the sweet sounds from the engine). See the 997TT vs F430 comparo below from C&D. Ask Allegretto as he owns both the F430 and 997TT for his opinion.

I think you will have to move up to the class of Murcielago, the Enzo replacement or 997GT-2 to rival the CGT ... but I'm way out of my league talking about these puppies.

I am waiting for the RUF package to be introduced (If no other options on 430 show) - I am on the list and also reviewing the other packages. Thanks for the article. Like your desc. on my short love affair. I have always been a die hard porsche fan - want to expand my view figure if I can get a 430 than step into the 599 looks like a great car.

I was told to ask you about the 430. I have a CGT, 997T just arrived and had a 996RUF 550.
I am looking for a little more excitement than the 997 wanted to know how the drive is on the 430?

I am a new freak NEED to have the 430 if I am going to get one. Has anyone noticed the price changes from Porsche on the options. It seems like the car I have is now closer to $3000-$5000 more has anyone else seen the change?

forget the F360; it's a lame duck compared to the F430.

If you are a new freak, and want torque, then a 599 might be your best bet in a Ferrari, though premiums are quite high at the moment and the cars are hard to find. The 430 has more torque, better sound, faster shifts, etc than the 360 - but it's not a torque monster.
What do you mean when you say the TT is too tame?

wch that is what I REALLY want is the 599 - working on it. That is my goal if I can get in on the 430 than I can step into the 599 - think the garage would look more complete G55/CGT/599
Houston dealer is telling me 18 months for 599 if I can get on the list.
Sorry on the 997TT - after you drive the CGT it is like driving a Cadillac.
