I have to say...I am struggling to keep this car off my mind...I spent a few hours last night putzing around with my BMW...filling the tires with air...cleaning the interior, etc...any thing to get my mind off of this car...then of course on the way to work today I was behind a shiny 997S and then drove past the local Porsche dealership...uuuggh. Well hopefully I am only a week away...

Man I am trying like heck to savor the moments...I have even started working on updating my home theatre to get my mind off it but no dice. Not to worry...I'll post tons of pics and impressions if I ever get the car.

Man, wow...it must really be tough for you. I'll tell you something. Just over a year ago, when I made the decision to get a 997TT, I sold both my fun cars leaving myself with only a SUV to tide me over until the Turbo arrived. That was a VERY long year for me! I have a motorcycle sure, but it's not the same. The hardest part came around the time when the car was finally built and on its way! Now that was tough!

Yeah Jason...it's been a real struggle...but I can certainly think of worse things in the world.

The boat has finally docked...after another delay...should have it later this week (I have heard that before though).

reclaims, how you doing? I was told on Monday that my car was on dry land. Dealer thought he'd have it Tues or Wed. With their prep and a few options being put on I'll probably get it early next week. What are you hearing?

gentleman-as i told claims, be careful with those hi performance tires on these cold days-remember the post from the man from mass. who lost control of his brand new turbo and crashed accelerating around an on ramp-there is just no traction with those hard tires on cold days.

My advice would also be for you to let the dealership do their job in prepping the car for. If its arriving tonight and you're having the bluetooth/K40 installed, it doesn't sound likely that they'd be able to get it ready for you by tomorrow. They've still got to install the front lip, program the car, detail the car, make sure everything is in working order and install those aftermarket components. It's not likely that it'd be ready by tomorrow IMHO. You definitely don't want to rush them in matters like these. I say that because from experience (my own delivery), I rushed mine and as a result I found a bunch of things wrong with my car a couple days after I took delivery. It took them a week to fix them all. Imagine how frustrated I was when that happened! So, my advice is to let them take their time prepping the car for you! They'll finally have the car in hand soon so that'd be one less worry for you, don't create new ones. Hang in there, dude.

The rational side of me total agrees with you guys 100%...however if I listened to my rational side I would not have bought this car or been able to afford it! I know I will regret it but I need my fix...I can't wait another second...I may go there now and sit in the sales managers office until I get my car...uuuurrrghhh...I am losing it!

OK...I think I am alright now...

Have I mentioned yet that the wait is killing me?
