Car arrived - just driven about 25 miles!
Sorry no photos yet. It rolled off the truck with all the plastic and paper and we just took off and drove it - can you blame me?
First stop was the gas station. All I can say is wow! I was smiling all the way. The car is beautiful inside and solid. It drives smooth as glass and feels like a volcano waiting to explode, but stayed under 4K RPMS.
I was very happy with the handling and the ride is excellent. The controls, adaptive seats and the short shift all work together very comfortably and you feel very much in command of the car at all times. The adaptives are real nice, I would recommend them to anyone. The standard brakes are fabulous and will be more than adequate for the kind of normal street driving I will do.
The car looks way better than the photos, and as soon as Moe Mistry and I get done with it on Saturday, I will post a bunch of photos. The interior Carbon Fiber is spectacular. I was concerned that getting every CF package available might be overkill, but it is very tasteful and surprisingly understated. The full leather is magnificient and nice quality. And I do like the Aluminum foot rest! You can definitely see it, and its a very nice complement to the other pedals.
I didn't press any of the "magic" buttons yet, I am going to study the manual tonight on the sport button and the others.
Gentlemen, for those of you who have an order for one, make sure you follow through and get your car, you will not regret it.
Porsche built a beauty here, I'd say they have a winner on their hands.

Mastiff,
Congrats!! That car must be a killer. I agree that all the photos don't really capture the real beauty of slate.
I take it you're doin' OK with the clutch.
Keep us posted with pics and enjoy your new toy!

If I took pictures today, it would be the same pictures of when it was loaded at the Porsche dealer 2000 miles away last Saturday. That would be boring for everyone. If you didn't happen to catch those photos, check out this thread:

As soon as she is all detailed out on Saturday, I will get you some worthwhile photos.

Beautiful car Dog! Congratulations. You are right about Porsche getting this one right. I've seen a black one in the flesh and it was really nice.
Good luck and have fun.
