Default Porsche releases residual data

The Porsche financial calculator now has data including the turbo. 3 yr residual assuming 10k miles is 65% for the 6spd, 63% for the tip. I was thinking it would be closer to 70% but I guess not.

If I had to wager a guess I'd bet its up in the 3's or around 7.5-8%. Seems like a very high residual. 70% would be incredibly high, I would have guessed around 55% for 3 years...

I agree, that residual seems very high for 3 years and 10k miles!

65% is a great 36 mo. residual for keeping lease payments low, grab it before they change their mind!

My old E36M3 had a residual of almost 75% at 3 years. Freakishly high. The AM Vantage V8 I was looking at would have been in the low 50's for a 3 year.

You can't beat an M3 for leasing. Has anyone gotten a quote on lease payments for a 60 month lease?

Unless you got the extended warranty, I see no reason to lease any vehicle beyond coverage

Why 60 month lease?? Just finance it for 60 mos!!

Leasing beyond warranty makes no sense. It's a rental basically.

I looked at 24 mo for fun and saw something like 73% RV but the money factor was like .0054, waaaay too high

At 36 mo I think it was 65% but still a .0040 factor.

Not pretty but I think it is intentional to keep the residual high since that's what a lot of people look at.

Why wouldn't you? I wouldn't actually keep it beyond probably 2-3 yeas but my philosophy about cars is to pay as little as possible and invest the differerence. Whyn have any more money than you need to tied up in a depreciating asset when you could have it invested in an appreciating asset. Same reason I don't buy cars.

But to get out of the lease you need to find someone to pay the buyout price. I have leased cars throgh my company for 10 years and never found anyone willing to the the buyout price. Nor have I found a dealer who would terminate my lease to get me into another car without it costing me a lot of money.

How do you get out of a 5 year lease after 2 years?? If the bak has you signed for 5 it's not in their best intrest to let you out eassily.
