Aluminum foot rest, Option XXZ
Does anyone out there have this option on their delivered car? If so, I would appreciate a photo. I can't seem to find one in Porsche's marketing stuff. Debating whether to get it or not. TIA

I got me one of them! Mine will be here tomorrow and I'll post a pic for you, unless someone beats me to it.
When you think about it, it has to be the most ridiculous option, I mean a foot rest? Who even will see the darn thing?
As always, the car will be an albatross on resale when you tell prospective buyers you don't have the official Porsche sanctioned Aluminum Foot Rest - and heaven forbid you go aftermarket on this little option, the car will be destroyed.

Hey Ken,
I was about to pull the trigger on the aluminum foot rest until a dealer salesman talked me out of it. When I went to the showroom, he showed me a car that had it installed. It was a complete joke. It's not Aluminum, it's rubber, FRAMED in a small aluminum highlight.. Save your $$$ and buy a Techart foot rest.. It didn't even look good. I barely noticed it.

Thanks for the input. I'm really not sure that the factory piece is worth it. Then again, if putting in an aftermarket piece, does the carpet fit around it, etc. Sounds ****, I know, but that's just me. And, would a non-factory unit screw up the networking of the car?
Would like to see your pic, Mastiff
