Had the transmission rebuilt with IPT upgraded internals, then had the coolant lines pinned while the motor is out. Can't wait to open it up after break in period.
Appreciate the updates, this is something I will likely take on in the next year or two. My headlight covers are PPF'd so in good shape but there is some debris in the passenger side headlight. Doesn't seem too difficult and a cheap upgrade with just new lenses and bulbs
Another step in the GT3 conversion: rewired and made custom brackets to mount 992 Carrera LED units into my 997.2 TT. The OEM GT3 DRL/turn signal unit did not fit (the back of the unit was hitting the radiator), so I needed a thinner solution for DRLs/turn signals.
I think it turned out awesome! Light output is very bright. The custom bracketry in the back was quite difficult to build, though.
Combined the existing 997.2 Turbo harness and a 997.2 GT3 harness (only $35 each on Suncoast) to make my custom harness for the 992 unit.
Surprisingly, the 992 LED unit uses this same plug that the 997.2 GT3 used - still after almost 15 years. The pins were all switched around but that was an easy fix, just depinning and replugging the crimps in their correct spots.
Still need to get everything paint-matched eventually...

did they upgrade the valve body? blue top solenoids?
how does it shift??? VERY INTERESTED IN HEARING BACK FROM YOU!
Thanks @NSXavier
Its ok so far. Still getting used to it. Find it awkwardly high at the moment lol. Normally I like my palm on the top of the shift ****, but doing that on this requires moving my hand UP off the steering wheel. So I'm trying a more pistol grip (if you will). Aside from that, the engagement is solid and throws are super short and precise. I like the strong centering spring.

Any chance you would be willing to share what you paid to have the coolant lines pinned? I guess the more expensive part was the engine drop, which you were already doing...
