I followed Ed's lead as well with the Archoil. Applying the oil with the little squirt bottle wasn't easy. I'm sure the spray can of the Porsche stuff would be easier to apply. Anyway, I figured for $13 I'd give it a try.

Good to hear your experience, was thinking of using a syringe. Been over a year since I did coils and spark plugs, so can't remember how much room there is to reach around. Thinking contortion and small syringe would do the trick. Do you remember how much room there is possibly using this method?

Why not just got with any readily available high temp graphite spray lube for $15? What about this particular Porsche lubricant justifies a 10 fold markup?

I lubricated with this, a ceramic anti-seize 1200deg celsius. Seems to work

I might have to do the same. BorgWarner is ignoring my emails Lol. I bet you if I was trying to buy something they’d respond.

I do the same several times a driving season. Since i dont drive in the rain -this works fine- even though i replaced the waste gate actuators to 1 bar units.

WD-40 isn't actually a true lubricant. WD stands for "water displacing" and its main use is as a solvent or rust dissolver. The lubricant-like properties of WD-40 come not from the substance itself, but from dissolving components. ... WD-40 can be a good substance to start with — it can help clean up rust or other grime.

this part cracks me up... adding one can of lube to the repair cost:

Any idea what the maximum temp for the lubricant needs to be? There’s limited options here in NZ and I can’t bring myself to order from Porsche.
