Made my first trip to the track and went to the Atlanta Streetcar Takeover event at Atlanta Dragway (Commerce GA). It was a hot & humid day with Stupid amounts of cranking and moving / idling the car to get to the line, so the 1st pass was slow due to heat soak and conditions. My 2nd and final pass was a MESS!!! I accidentally rolled in too deep and "Double Bulbed" the guy but I already had Launch Control engaged and foot to the floor, so I let off the throttle a bit to give him time to get staged. He got in really quickly but when I put my foot back down on the throttle, the car wouldn't do anything. NO Launch REVS. He left and won the race. It took me 6-7 seconds to figure out I needed to start launch control over again. But, since it was cooler outside, I got my 10.96 @ 124.10 MPH on a stock car (Europipe Exhaust only) in not so great conditions. I'm happy. I wanted a 10 and got it.

Have a look at my vid. I got video of both passes with two views (from the stands and from the car).

Cool stuff! I can't say I understand the lingo you used in your post, I'm clueless as to car talk/race talk, but the video is neat to see.

LOL you must be referring to the drag race talk. "Double Bulbed", "Staging / Staged", etc.
Yeah, it's just about the process of proper drag racing protocol. You should try it sometime. It's a total blast and really show what you're car is capable of in a "Legal" way! lol

Thanks for watching Steve.

Was just checking out a local 2014 991.1 Turbo. Cheap (for the year), but fully wrapped and that scares the crap out of me.

They keep getting faster and more sophisticated, and I know it's crazy, but I always love getting back into my six speed 996 Turbo.

Not crazy at all. Your 996TT is awesome (as they all are when well sorted).

I can't stop "wanting" a 991 TTS as well, but the price differences are just way to big from the 997 TTS's.

I do absolutely love mine but miss the 6MT of my old 996TT as well. If only I could own both. Pipe dreams for now.

991 is to wide for me. Kind of like the Kardashians.

Just a few pics in the Fall weather at my friends front yard. Wished I had land like this.

Thank you.

Yes, but I might be making a deal on a Cobb AP on Friday. If he unloaded it / unmarried it from his Sold TTS and if it loads on my car without a problem, I'll be buying it. Too good a deal to pass up.

So, I'll start with the OTS Stg. 2 93 oct. tune, and that should do me for a while. lol I hope. But trust me, my "normal" self is telling me to Do all that you did to your 997.2 TTS. I'd Love to have a 9 sec. ride. But until I get it paid off, I think the tune will do me good. Maybe even a custom tune from Emre, Sam, or someone, could be the next small step.

Nice. Emre can work magic with your Europipe (high flow cat right)? Race gas file and drop the rear tire pressure to 28 and I bet you do solid 10.3-10.4's at over 130mph.
