I think this statement is based on the posters poorly tuned VTG engine, factory GT2VTG motor and properly tuned built motors will spool like this - boost by 2000rpm....

Lets go back to the original post. I also got a chance like what i said to buy an 08 Gt2.

Msrp $206. Asking $215. Miles 1800. I think its inflated and right now, its all speculative pricing. Most are asking $230-250.

I wish i can get my hands on a gt2rs but for $400, i have other cars in mind for that price range.

The gt2 and RS have rocketed in price over last couple years. I bought a garage queen 2rs with low miles for just a hair more than the gt2 asking prices you list above. I will admit, based on recent asking prices I've seen that 215 for sub-2k mile example seems "reasonable". I know a lot of good example gt2 were trading 170-200 range earlier in the year. I'm not sure if anything has actually changed hands at this new level of asking prices they've jumped to. Once my 2rs became a near-half mil car, it was time to let it go.

The msrp is a bit low which explains the low asking. I wish it had more options. Looking at the car, seem too plain and it had Sport seats only. But, i can still possibly grab it. If it would add something to my experience, which is the more important thing, I will buy it. It just dont know. Im happy with my stable right now. I would say there is no overlap of duties.

I purchased my 997 GT2 CPO'd from a dealer about 4 years ago and have put about 32,000 miles on it in the meantime. I've been basically using it as my DD and have taken it to the track a few times and on some long trips.

A few impressions:
This is one of the most enjoyable and capable cars I've ever owned, and I've owned some goodies.
It's fast, responsive and well balanced with lots of grip.
It eats 7RS's with ease on the track.
Turbo lag is minimal and not an issue or concern.
Third gear is where it shines, it gives up traction in 1st and 2nd
It's far different from an AWD TT, much more nimble and light feeling
It's been dead reliable.
It's a very special car and although they are kind of becoming a "Thing" I will continue to drive and enjoy mine, it's just too much fun not to.
It makes every mundane trip an adventure!

To make the GT2 a better street car get the TPC PASM upgrade .It really transforms the car.
As for a track car get a cup car!
