Default 6200 rpm rev limit after motor/ ECU change

Anybody ever experience this problem? Maybe interface with TC module? If so, how do you work around it?

I should add that this was on the dyno. Haven't tested it on the street.

This is very odd. We ran the new motor and ECU and revs stopped at 6200. The seller said that he never had such a problem. We substituted my old ECU and the motor ran great to redline. We then used the Cobb tune to trim the setting to my exhaust and the 6200 cutoff returned, now on both ECUs.

If you have a COBB Accessport, which I presume you do, remove the program and revert back to stock. In essence deleting the COBB Tune.

I'm told that the problem is that the TC module isn't communicating with the ECU. I assume that deleting the Cobb tune was tried early on but I will pass along your suggestion, and thanks!

Terry, what did you put in your car? Still the '07 I saw long ago at NJMP?

We put in a stock 3.6 from a 2007 GT3. It had a modified 3.8 which began life as a stock 3.6.
