Default Race headers+side deletes+stock center. Good or bad?

I've had center bypass for nearly 3yrs on my 2010 gt3 and now I'd like to go different direction.

did my own research, but I'd like to hear experts' opinion on this.

Any opinion will be appreciated.

Thank you.

You can drop 40# by eliminating the side mufflers. This is why you should go this route over a center muffler delete. Also eliminates a lot of heat.

My DMS system (race headers, valved side deletes, stock center muffler) is stock quiet with the valves closed, sex panther when open.

Thanks for the input.
How loud is your set up when valves open compared to center bypass?

Never ran a center bypass.

Loudness is all relative to the gas pedal. Drone is the issue when driving in the typical rpm ranges. Mine has zero drone

I just installed a BBi side muffler delete on a '07 '3, sounds great and gets rid of heat/weight

i have the cargraphic kit 5 lightweight which was headers w/ high flow cats in place of the side mufflers and the OE center muffler. by far a lot more intoxicating than the x pipe by itself. Nothing wrong with my old RSS x pipe but I got tired of that On/ Off abrupt sound increase. I do notice a bit more drone and a little loss on the low end but the high revs and pull is exhilarating.

I run it.

With some custom drone reduction mods designed and already posted in response to another similar query, it's excellent.

It's very good. Exhaust volumes and tone are pretty subjective, but this set up has more of a cup car sound vs. center bypass. Have GMG headers with BBI side pipes. Sound is fantastic with no drone that I can tell. Only changes I would possibly make would be a valved side bypass set up. Only reason would be for pulling out of the garage/alley to not totally annoy the neighbors.

Yesterday was driving through a long underpass, rolled down the windows and gave it the beans. Sounded awesome!!

Great inputs guys. Thank you.
So far, I think drone would be the only possible issue.
Also my neighbors would hate my car even more than before since I'll run catless header..
I'm still deciding between DMS and M&M for my set up though..
Tough call!!

DMS headers, side deletes, stock muffler= No drone, stock sound profile with valves closed, most power gains, but highest price.

Everything else is a compromise with price being the advantage.

I have a set of slightly used M&M headers, catless, let me know if you're interested. I can ship them to you.

We almost exclusively use M&M exhausts on all of our shop's and customer's cars. You're on the right track, headers (with or without CATS), elbow pipes, and center muffler is the best way to go.

I have brand new M&M race long headers, elbows, and center muffler. Please let me know.
