Hello-
Been a bit of a lurker, still looking at .7 gt3's. It's been my observation that these three options are the most obvious variables differentiating one car from the next. Obviously this does not take into account many other important variables such as maintenance history, DME etc etc.
I plan to use a gt3 as a weekend fun car, occasionally around town. Little to no track use in that I am hundreds of miles from a track. Steep driveway leading to street, I'd guess gt3 front lip would always bottom out coming / going from house.
Pick 2 of the three options YOU'd recommend given my anticipated use..
PCCB
Carbon Fiber Bucket Seats
Front Axle Lift System
Thanks,
Tony

Buckets and lift from what you posted and my .2 cents.
Enjoy when you find the new car

Know the lift system isn't popular with some but couldn't survive without it in Chicago. We have 2-3 speed bumps on almost every side street in the city. Buckets are just great seats.

PCCB might be too much for street driving but if the car you are interested in has them it shouldn't be a deal breaker. Some say factory front lift is prone to issues. Buckets are nice and add value maybe but you have to ask yourself if that is the comfort you are looking for. GL hunting

none of these are required options. buckets look cool, may not be as comfortable as the regular seats, the lift can be handy but they break all the time. PCCB, meh.
Shop the overall car/condition, options secondary

Thank you all! I would have figured PCCB would have received more love, ie no brake dust, long time frame of last, when confined to nontrack use... Now I just need to justify spending so much on a toy ![Cool](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Thanks Again,

i assume you want a 7.2 since you mention the front axle lift.
In the end 0/3 are needed. for non-track or aggressive street driving the stock seats are more than fine, and are actually usable for aggressive street driving as well.

The more particular you are regarding year, miles, previous use, options, funds, you might have to become more flexible. Even with the Cup lip spoiler which is lower than stock, you can learn to navigate steeper driveways and speedbumps if a 997.1 meets most of your needs, and have less electronics in your car. Not the end of the world if you scrape/scuff the lip spoiler.
Good luck.

Lift keep me from driving mine to work (which is fine by me). Without it, you definitely need a pretty flat journey but it has never presented a problem for me that I could not work around. If you have big speed bumps or a parking garage, or fair grade on your driveway, its probably a priority.

Given no track use, I'd skip the carbon buckets, and go PCCB and front lift. PCCB should last a long time on the street so not much worrying about brakes, and front axle lift is gonna be helpful getting places, so not much worrying about scraping things.

One month ownership of a 997.2 GT3 and the PCCBs are the one remarkable positive surprise - so much so I changed my GT4 order to add them. Although not tracking the GT3 you will hit speeds requiring good braking (6th gear). There is no "lack of braking when cold" as some journalists had alluded to on CCBs
The Axle lift didn't come with this GT3 so I'm buying an extra OEM lip for around $300. I have no history but would wonder if the axle lift system adds maintenance to the car. This owner claims he was quoted $12,000.00 to repair

Standard seats really connect my lower back to the chassis, great stuff even though it is the lowest level option
