Default smog test recommendations Bay Area...

title says it all, time to smog test the 7.2 and I'm looking for suggestions from fellow Bay Area RLers for a good place to smog test my GT3 (w/SW bypass)

TIA

The current protocol is a test via the OBD as they no longer sniff the exhaust (but you probably knew that). If you are looking for a shop that'll ignore the bypass then I hope a RLer can help you out. I just use my local Chevron and have never had a problem with my stock .2.

Bypass shouldn't matter, since you're not touching the cats. I've had my car smogged twice in San Mateo, both times at a random small Indy shop. I wouldn't worry about where you take it.

I did my smog test a month ago at Porsche of Fremont on my RS with the SW bypass.

It's a rather straight forward task. No surprises. Passed with no issue at all.

Another reason why it's best not to register cars in the people republic of CA.

Thanks - exactly what I was thinking, really looking for a shop that will take care with the car!
