Toying with the idea of getting a .2 GT3 RS
This would be a weekend/maybe take to track occasionally, fun car. My 991.1 will still be my DD. Any issues I need to know about with these cars and specifics for model year and options I should be looking for? I'm open to all colors, but must have front axle lift, LWB and PCCB. Any advice with re: to options and pricing would be really appreciated as I'm less in tune with this market compared to the 991s.
Many thanks in advance.

i am in the bay area as well. you will pay a bit more for vehicles with lower miles. make sure you take it to do a PPI and do a DME check. if you find one you really like post up here, it's likely someone here used to own it or has more information on it.
good luck!

The .2RS come standard with LWB. I would ditch the lift and just replace the front lip as required over time. Factory lift is prone to failure.
Couple things to pay attention to would be:
1- DME readout for over-rev range.
2- Coolant lines pinned.
3- Vario cam bolts secured.
4- Plenum butterfly screws secured.
5- Service history
6- Put a paint meter on it, should be 80-115micron. Anything less the paint has been scrubbed to much and proper paint correction might not be possible. Anything more it's been repainted.
7- Have a PPI done.

they are all overpriced now.
so dont worry about that too much
find the car
chk it out
cut the chk. b/c if you dont move fast enough on a good car, it will end up in my warehouse. this is not a joke.

As low as possible, but I'm looking for a collector-quality car so expect to pay more compared to a driven example. I'd like less than $200k. Is that a reasonable expectation?
