Default Best 997.1 GT3 specific car cover

Hi Folks - new here with a 997.1 GT3. Looking for advice on a high end car cover fitted specifically for this car. Must be able to withstand outdoor elements (eg water proof) and be multi-layer, with under layer which is in contact with car in some form of non-scratching material (eg microfiber, etc).

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nothing listed on suncoast for 997.1 or 997.2. I saw the 991 GT3 has an outdoor cover. Should work fine on the 997.

Thanks for the link. Is it multi-layer? I've had one of these "factory" covers on my Audi RS7 last year, and it was a disaster. While it kept the elements out, it scratched the heck out of the corners of the car, specially where the cover had the most tension against. This is why I was looking for one which has a softer inner layer to prevent "chafing".

Thanks.

Get a high end cal cover if you're going to be keeping in the weather. The Oem covers to me are super nice but really indoors. I have an indoor cal cover and the layer that touches the car is a super soft flannel like material. Not sure I'd want microfiber it traps leaves and things really easy.

if u care about car it should ALWAYS a parked indoors. u less my car is being driven , it's always indoors
use a cover only if cars is clean.
once drive I no kinder cider it until it's detailed again

if u expect a cover to keep out the weather... then it really doesn't matter just get a tarp

I'm super **** with "chafing"

I keep my truck outside under a California Car Cover. Have used their covers both inside and outside for at least 15 years. They provided the best fit for a GT3 that I have seen.

Give them a call if you have problems deciding which material.

My son got his custom cover from Pelican Parts. Service was great and cover fit perfectly. He stores his 1987 BMW 325is outside at our acreage. Snow, wind, rain etc.. Fairly heavy cover, 3 layers with fleece inner. He chose the AutoBody Armor model. With exchange he paid $500.00 CAD, so probably $150.00 USD.

Agree but my garage is being built and have to keep it outdoors for most of the winter.

Thanks for all of the recommendations. Has anyone used "Seal Skin" covers or ever heard of them?

We use Coverking for all of our cars. The generator for the covers is HERE. Let me know if you have any questions.

Man that Carnewal fit's like a glove that is for sure. And for something so large as a car that is great workmanship as I imagine the Cal Covers would be too since they are receiving rennlist member aproval. And yes can't go wrong with Pelican Parts since they do care about their customers and they care about potential client perception.

Coverking
FYI to give an update. Ended up ordering the satin stretch coverking from pelican parts for indoor storage. Parked the GT3 in a private garage nearby. Couldn't leave her outside considering the weather coming through here in MD.

Coverking indoor satin stretch is good, the california car covers are also good. I only use indoor car covers and make sure the car is spotless and go over it with some quick detail. ANYTHING on the car will scratch the paint unfortunately.
