997 GT3 price bubble bursting?

The Scottsdale auctions have ended and across the board most sales were soft.
Your point is to look at prior appreciation winners as a trend. While that generally holds true in an up market, all market rises come to an end sometime. My rebuttal would that if the whole market corrects then everything will fall.
About every 10 years there is an Up-Down cycle, are we still climbing or at the top?

Congrats on a nice find.
I know I'm happier with an RS in my garage than extra $150K or so in my bank account.
This price prediction thread is quite entertaining to read.
Looking at the appreciation of some air cooled 911 recently, there is absolutely no way for our GT3 or RS to not maintain a good value. The longer you wait, the more it will be worth. End of discussion.

Oyyy still kicking myself for not jumping in the deep end years ago. Welp I can probably go in around the 100K range and was really hoping for an RS, but it looks like unless this bubble bursting comes to fruition I won't be getting one.
Standard 997 GT3 would still be nice, but a little bit of a compromise since I'm really after an RS. Ughhh...I need to make more money. Really the only solution.

There's a white gen 1 GT3 down the street from me with cup wing and BBS wheels and it's every bit as sexy as my RS. If I could move to a nice gen 1 NB and put $75k on the mortgage, I'd do it, as a workin' stiff.
Cheers

Honestly, if can afford RS, that's great, but having driven a friend's gen 1 NB GT3, they were equally satisfying on the street in terms of sound, shifter feel and his engine even spooled up nearly as quickly as mine. Surprisingly similar. There's a white gen 1 GT3 down the street from me with cup wing and BBS wheels and it's every bit as sexy as my RS.
