Default 997 GT3 price bubble bursting?

I was in the market a few mos ago when prices were ridicolous... now looking around I can see that on average prices are at least $5-10K lower, and some cars haven't even sold since Summer. Is the bubble bursting?

I'm in the market for an .2 RS & have trended prices on autotrader & eBay for the past 6 months. I don't think the bubble is bursting or has busted but I think it's cooling off & perhaps leveling off a bit. I could see prices falling a bit more over the next 12-18 months due to 991.2 GT3/RS & even the 911R, but can't imagine being a tremendous fall.

Winter time, things slow. Buy something and drive it, who cares what prices are today or will be tomorrow? If it matters that much to you, then you won't ever be able to really enjoy the car as it should be enjoyed. Go buy a pizza wagon if you want to look at it.

track focused cars or sports cars in general cool off in the winter time. if you want to track pricing, track sportbike prices in the winter time in cold states. you can buy a ducati for a few K less and resale in summer for more.

Speculation peaked and is cooling off. I've been following prices as well and I think people are finally coming to their senses.

Yeah. It's definitely cooling off. Could be the combo of winter and getting over the peak at summer. Funny enough in all of the PCA events this summer almost no 997 GT3 took part. Most were afraid of a ding or possibly crash and losing thousands. So we had a ton of 991 GT3 while maybe 1-2 997 every 2-3 events. At least around my region.

Find me a PTS or UV 991 RS at MSRP and I might be willing to sell you my unicorn.

Price in Oz is still going up - 4 years ago a GT3 was ~$160k-$170k, now some are up for $210k! We do lag the US by a year or so.

I have one of 4 green GT3's in Oz and only 111 997's in total imported plus only 33 RS's. Proper unicorns

the winter is here now, sales will typically be slower until march.
Folks asking too much money and eager to sell are adjusting their prices.
Low mile queens are still fetching kings ransom.
