658 delivered to US. I don't see a grand total to include ROW.

Those numbers are very close, but not quite accurate. The actual numbers for US-invoiced cars are below. That being said, some that were originally invoiced for Canada were delivered to the US, and vice-versa, which may explain the slight discrepancy in my current numbers vs. Porsche's original sales reports.

The numbers are:
997.2 RS: 544 delivered to the US (71 to Canada)
997.2 GT3: 654 delivered to the US (56 to Canada)

They must have sold more than that for each in the US. I'd think it'd be close to 1,000 for both.

Nope - search MJones posts on GT3 production for 997.2 GT3s. Remember that the bottle neck for production for this car was the Mezger engine. A far more involved motorsport build process then the 991.

Thank you switch cars! While you are at it, can you do the same for the .1's?

Any numbers on ROW GT3s?

- how can the Mezger be the limiting factor on gt3 prod numbers? Same block in TT. Would the internals stand for such a massive difference?

Excellent point.
For example, the 2009 Ferrari 16M produced in similar quantities as the 997.2 GT3 and experienced the same effect then has doubled in the last 2.5 years

The funny thing is, if you combine the RS 3.8 + 4.0 they made/imported more of those than of the "regular" GT3. So which is the rarer car?
