"They’re so expensive because of the near constant circle-jerk surrounding them. I’m not saying it isn’t justified, but when people literally never shut the F*%! up about how amazing a car is.."

Pretty funny article, and they didn't even mention the GT3 model by name.

Nicely written, interesting that the writer is a former PCNA employee.
Maybe someday he will write a story about those two Porsches he crashed while he was working there that he mentioned...

(1) A tree fell right in front of him during a storm, totaling a 997.2 with less than 100 miles on it.
(2) Another driver failed to yield and pulled out in front of his Panamera GTS

Yikes, especially the falling tree. That could have had a really bad outcome.
This happens too often around here when the weather is bad, sometimes with grave consequences.

Strangely, we were driving around in his Range Rover during the second Snowpocalypse and a massive pine tree fell across Randall Mill, right in front of us.
Why are you selling your GT3?

We have five cars, a van and two motorcyles in the garage(s), the GT3 is now rarely driven] and sadly has become a Garage Queen in order to keep it pristine. It's the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned so I'm uber-careful with it, I don't track, the texting drivers around here are nuts and since it's basically become an objet d'art, I've come to the conclusion that it's time to let it go. Too much OCD on my part to really enjoy the GT3 properly.
Also, I have an opportunity to re-purchase a favorite car from my past that I sold to a friend and if I decide to buy it back, need the room.
I'll be out of town on and off through late September so I'll officially market it after then. I'll need to take it to Goldcrest to get a DME readout as well. They did an alignment and corner balance right after I recently replaced the tires.

Even if you suffer a big hit or a total loss you should come away fine given current market value vs what you paid..

Your head is certainly screwed on different than mine. I also have 2 motorcycles, which would both be sold along with my 2 trucks and the wife's SL55 AMG before my Pcar would go.

Excellent points, all. Too bad it doesn't have those magical "RS" letters (aka $$$$) on the engine lid.
At least mere mortals like me can afford mine. Then again, maybe I'll come to my senses and keep it. I have a month to mull it over.

I took it out yesterday...it's going to be really hard to let it go if a quick, easy sale materializes. It is a fact that none of the other 21 Porsches I've had in the past 43+ years, nor have several others I've driven over the years feel as "alive"as this one does.

it's funny article
if he finds 911 too expensive (or any car $$$ for that matter) stfu and drive something that's not so expensive.
I can't afford wine so I drink water, I never complain grape juices are so $$$

I can't figure out why a 964 RSA is worth $10K+ more than a comparable mileage/condition 997.1 GT3. I had two of those, loved them but a GT3 is on a different level altogether.
