Default 997.2RS Stripper - Whats it worth?

I have an opportunity to purchase from a private party a 2010 .2RS, no a/c, no PCM, no lift, 3 owners with PCCB. Some DE time, but no track time, claimed zero over revs and stock everything.

The RS market is all over the place, assuming a clean PPI, what do you think it's worth? Stripper worth more or less than a loaded car?

$150-180. Depending on Miles,color, condition.

Just buy it and drive it. They are getting harder to find. They will be $50k more next year.

It's a collectors gem

The strippers are what will be worth the most in time

The heavy option cars will begin to look dated

Mine is zero option, radio delete, with AC

What is "some DE time but no track time" mean? DE time = track time. DE time >< racing.

Need: colors, miles, and if not in US

I agree with izzone. All the extras will either stop working or look busy on the car over time. My car is same spec as izzone with the super cool no headlight washers but crappy halogen headlights.

Perfect spec! Buy it if you can. You won't regret it.

9k miles, white with red stickers. Should have said auto cross. Claimed no track time. Guess it's all the same. I don't believe the hubs have timed out. Located in U.S. Seller wants $170. Car isn't listed on the registry.

The build sheet says "lightweight headlights". Is that the crappy halogens?

Has the lightweight battery and center console in carbon.

The common meaning of stripper in our little world is that the interior has been gutted. No carpet, no passenger seat, no trim, no headliner, etc. In other words, a street car that's been lightened as much as possible for better lap times on the track.

I'm guessing you are trying to say that this car is a zero option car, yes?

Yep! Advantage is no washer nipples. disadvantage is the halogens aren't great - they're actually really good for halogens, but not as good as xenon. This option saves like 10lbs or something, mostly from washer mecahism + the fluid in the tank.

Please be careful though, I had the option to buy a car with this exact config and color before I got my previous RS and it was revealed to me that the car had engine open work on it under warranty. 3227 were the last 4 digits of vin on that one.

Yes, lightly optioned.

Appreciate everyone's insight. PPI next week. Will keep the thread updated.

Optioned to be a light weight track car.

PCCBs and carbon interior bits do not relate to the term "stripper."

Make sure the condition of brake calipers and discs are checked closely. They will reveal if there was much track time. My car had 11K miles when I bought it. The brakes were pristine. Bright and shiny, no signs of any wear and zero color fading from heat.

About $1k and your beat to hell track brakes can look new as delivered from porsche. Really.

end of day, it's impossible to know if a car was tracked if it's been maintained well. there are many, many indicators... but all can be hidden or fixed or replaced (of course assuming it wasn't wrecked). Underbody, brakes, clear bra to hide marks, windshields, carpets, suspension, wheel liners....

This is why you buy the seller & assume all these cars have seen the track unless you bought new or know the seller personally.
