Keep in mind the gt3 is already an rs.

So you are talking about getting an rs or an rs rs.

Those you who know your history will know what I mean.

And no, the rs America is not an rs.

while this sounds ridiculous and insane, feel

is the wife's D IF princess 3 ct rock really worth the delta over a fake. let the debate begin and bring out the soda and popcorn

Note: Some people think these forums are like Wikipedia where all these opinions are actually "facts'. We'll these opinions can get buried and sometimes not easily found so if you would like to give a few words, in a new unit of time, please chime in. If you don't want to, that's fine too. Appreciate any feedback.

P.s. At least it's not another "IMS thread" on the 996 Forum.

P.ss This is a good thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-vs-gt3rs.html

FWIW I couldn't justify an RS last year at "only" 50% over a GT3. This year it's not even a thought.

Then again, if money is no object why not...

LOL, man this thread must've been from a looooong time ago, since both Modena 1 and I now own 3.8 RS cars. Oh wait, it was from 8 months ago...

The 997-2 GT3 is a truly awesome car in its own right. But frankly, if you can swing it, get the RS. It is just that much better that the price delta makes perfect sense once you've put a few miles on it.

New member guys so forgive my ignorance. Very informative reading. I've never owned a Porsche of any type before although have driven a few 911's owned buy friends. I'm pulling the trigger on a 2016 GT3RS.1 tomorrow. Excited and looking forward to a steep learning curve. Been in various M3's until now. Cheers

Not a bad first Porsche purchase. Learning curve will be easier in that car than the 997 RS. You'll do fine...
