GT3 problem...
i've found that my GT3 "weekend car" is actually getting about the same or even more miles put on it per week than my RS4 "daily driver"!
guess it does't help that my commute is less than 10miles roundtrip and my typical weekend drive is closer to 120miles. have put about 2400miles on the car since when i got it in late March and car is rapidly approaching 30k miles at which point i guess i'll have to sell it for scrap...
anyone else have this problem???
The South Bay Loop
The copilot in his racing seat
Skyline straightaway
Silicon Valley
Taking a break at Alice's

Juan -- 6000 miles since March is impressive! that drive you did looked like a great time too.
r6elmo -- i don't really live at the Mystery House, but if you're near there it would be easy to meet up. good luck with the remodel work. i need to get my bathroom floor sorted out thanks to a water leak...

I have the same problem. Picked up my rs a little over 2 years ago with 26k. It's at 41k now. Yeah, I drive it. As much as I can. A few k of those are track miles and more than a few k boring drive to track miles. Those are near 0 now that I've a trailer.

GT3 problem...
My 2007 gt3 will be officially sold this week at <24000 miles so problem solved. Bought it at 10,500 miles 3 years ago.
Now have 4700 miles on my 991gt3 and 7 track days. Now my left calf can return to normal size.

Same problem. 28K miles this week. Bought it with 2K. 1000 miles in last 2 weeks with friends both on track and on some of the same roads (including 1 down to Big Sur).
Give up. Life is short. Enjoy the car.

usually when i go to Santa Rosa i'll jump off 101 at Petaluma and go into Santa Rosa via Crane Canyon to Grange Rd to Bennett Valley Rd.

the Evo 8 is still one of my favorite cars and got very comfortable pushing that car hard and not feeling too worried when it would start sliding. no where close to that in the GT3...yet.
plan to do something like Hooked On Driving or the Porsche Driving Experience at some point to get up the learning curve a bit quicker (and safely).

My GT3 just arrived in Cupertino at work yesterday and I can't wait to go on that drive of the South Bay : )

yea, i like that 17 to 1 to Skyline to 9 route, though so do a lot of other people (cyclists, motorcycles, other cars), so you need a bit of luck to not get stuck behind slow traffic at some point. and since people don't seem to understand how to use the turn outs, i've found it's better to just pull over at certain points along that loop to build up some free space.
continuing North on Skyline to 92 and cutting down to Half Moon Bay is good too. oh! and the new tunnel on 1 by Pacifica is a fun place to make some noise. though think you need to be alert for police around there.
the road up to Lick Observatory has some nice stretches, but also some really twisty bits that almost had me feeling car sick. i've yet to go all the way up past the observatory to Mines Rd and then over to Livermore, but will try that at some point.
