Those of you not interested in this thread were not forced to open it, much less comment on it.
If this car was in your aquisition crosshairs, I suspect you would be singing a different tune.

It's always funny when people remark what a waste of time a thread on a forum is when it's so easy to simply ignore it and not follow it.
Personally, I understand Chucks point. I've been semi-actively searching for a car and once one catches my interest I immediately search the VIN when posted. I can tell you that finding a post with 'Buyer Beware' in the title would be unsettling. Many folks who find this thread won't read through the 140 posts to find the truth and even if they do they may still be uneasy.
Why not simply change the title to something less ominous?
BTW, I also think anyone has the right to 'flip' the car as fast as they'd like. It's their car and selling it will make the new owner another proud member of this forum.
Just to be clear, I don't know Chuck, never met him and never even heard of him until this thread. I just think he did inadvertently get a bit of a raw deal.

I've tried to change the title however, that's not possible. You'll see the OP has a new title but that's it.
I've even removed the VIN from the OP.
Honestly, I feel horrible for what this has turned into.

I don't mind calling some of the comments unwarranted flaming unless you have personal knowledge, which I do.
I was the buyer who backed out and repeat: Chuck was nothing but gracious and gentlemanly throughout the whole process. For obvious reasons I backed out of buying this car, but I would deal with him again.
This thread should come to a hopefully graceful conclusion, which the OP has
apparently tried to do. Unless someone has new info to add, let it come to a rest, please.
