Default Aqua blue RS for sale.

Thought I would post this since I've seen a few want ads for an aqua blue RS. This seems like a clean car. Can be easily brought in from Canada. Grab it before a stealership does.

I'm guessing at this price the range 4 over rev actually did some mechanical damage, not just a footnote.

Range 3= mechanical damage? I thought most range 1-3 will not cause damage and even some range 4.

Looks like the seller closed the auction early. I expect the car to show up at a stealership near you soon with a much higher asking price...

If so, it probably will be without a upfront disclaimer regarding the range 3 and 4. At least these guys were upfront about it.

Was a gorgeous looking car too. I'm an absolute sucker for blue cars, love 'em.

You know it, they will just happen to forget to disclose that little fact.

I've heard from a few peeps that a dealer can delete the over-revs? There was a white RS on cars.com which had stage 5 over revs then moved to a dealer and seller said clean dme ?? WTF! Is that even possible?

i am hardly an expert, but my thinking was, well there was a range 4 some time ago - that incident did not damage the engine, luckily...

...now, much more recently, another missed shift leads to another range 3 incident of some duration... would that raise the risk of some engine damage (or make it significantly less reliable over time)?? i realize it is commonly accepted that a range 3 incident on its own should not damage the engine, but what about this case where a second range three money shift is ON TOP OF a prior range 4 one...hmmmm

i dunno, but that was enough to make me pass, as pretty as the car is...

Sorry for the stupid question. So these over revs mean the shifter hit the red line? I've accidentally grinded a gear in my 911 when going from 4th to 3rd gear, around 4-5k rpm. Does that mean it's over revved & is this logged??

Thanks.

I believe range 1's are the redline? Range 4's are quite beyond that? I believe I read somewhere that range 4 means up to 10,000 RPM on a GT3.
