Default Hesitation on acceleration

Hi
Since my last track day the car developed a strange behavior. On part throttle, at relatively low rpm (2-4k) it sometimes feels very numb, like was way down on power, rpm's rising very slow. If you lift and re-apply throttle it usually comes back to life. Idle is fine, no check engine lights etc.

I thought gas - but now gone through 2 tanks of 100 octane and no change.

Brought it for quick check to Porsche dealer - computer shows no error codes, they couldnt tell what it is. Especially annoying it only happens from time to time so not a permanent issue. Scheduled another visit in 2 weeks but i'm a bit concerned.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Car is 2011 GT3, fully stock.

thanks

Did you recently install a clutch or a light weight flywheel?
It could be related although it should throw a code
Something else could be plugs/ coils when did you last change them?

Otherwise it could be heat soaked ? Hows your oil temperature like when it happened?

Thanks. Temps stayed very reasonable around 105c. Wouldnt plugs/coils throw a CEL?

I did change recently clutch and flywheel under warranty. How could that be related?

no odd noises?

Cam actuator misbehaving? ~4k is when it kicks in. If it doesn't go to high lift mode you'll feel down on power for sure.

That said, these cars have very little below 4k, need to rev.

My brothers GT3 acted exactly the same and was throwing a code , they dismantled the engine and checked the cam bolts , turned out later it was just a flywheel sensor..

No odd noise. The 4k kick is still there. it just feels sometime the car doesnt surge forward when even feathering the throttle.

Do you think it could be a dying fuel pump? Pump wouldnt give a cel i think.

Go back to 93 octane with 10 percent ethanol. The race gas may have too high a Reid vapor pressure for summer heat. I had big problems with this in our former carburetor Cobra. Worth a cheap try.

All the best ....

It'd be a good bet to see if there are any pending codes, just in case!

Thanks all for suggestions. The car was checked, no error codes at all, strange.

Our 100 octane is normal gas, no race gas, just a bit better than premium 98 (American 93 i think).

Still puzzled.
