Default Nt01 hot pressure

Any recommendation for hot pressure F&R at track?
I was running 34Front and 32 rear. Rear got a cut line at outer edge. Maybe I was running too low pressure and not enough rear camber (2.5).
Very sure the cut line is not from rubbing fender.

I think 32 rear hot is too low. 2.5 camber rear is fine. I like around 34F 36R hot.

i'm all for pressures as a baseline, but...what do your tire generally temps say?

I run 34 hot all 4 corners. I try to anyways. This is for the PNW so ambient/track temp generally does not get that hot.

Have been 32/37 hot here. Might try dropping the rear a little if you guys recommend.

32-34 f, 34-36r HOT

temp measures support this on tracks here at my speed/driving level

+1. buy a probe pyrometer and don't guess. It'll pay for itself with the tire wear you save.

wheel size, tire size, too many factors to know exactly what your car needs. in general no more than 38 is a safe rule for Nitto's

I've found in my application 35-36 in the front and 37 rear is ideal

What are you doing with temps? How do you allow for temp as a function of track configuration and loading immediately before coming in to the pits?

You're reading temps to determine if the car is setup properly. This information is relative to the track you are running at that point in time.

The temps in the center of the tire, when evaluated compared to the inside and outside will tell you if pressures are correct.

Inside and outside readings will tell you if camber and possibly toe adjustments needs to be made.

Ideally you'll have the inside of the tire be the hottest with a gradual decrease in temps as you get to the outside of the tire. If that's not the case the car is not optimized.

Temps should be taken as soon as possible after the car leaves the track from a full on hard lap all the way up until pit entry.

You can dive deeper into it but those are the basics.

just to add... i'm not an expert on this, and i'm not that fast a driver...
my shop was looking at my tire wear
he gave me his pyrometer to take to the track after some setup changes
i ran a couple sessions then took measures and sent him the readings
he made a few more tweaks to the setup next time i was in the shop
he was looking for max temp plus the spread from inside to outside
he's basically been making the setup more aggressive as i've gotten faster to allow for max tire performance
at my driving level, temps are reasonably consistent track to track, so i just focus on the pressures and the way the car feels during a run to adjust them

to your point, you need to get readings as soon as you can after a run, cool down will cause them to equalize
