They do 18" 5 lugs already and Jamie is organizing for BBS to custom build 19" for those that want to stick to OEM sizing.

Theres a thread on here....

Thanks guys. The car is an absolute riot to drive.

Flywheel I believe is the stock RS flywheel but balanced, clutch is the 4.0 clutch.

IMO the NA engines and builds truly do not gain much from race fuels.
I have never run E85 but during my tuning multiple maps were created and the engine really loves to run nicely with a 50/50 mix of pump gas and VP 110 leaded. Engines love lead and screw the "greenies"

Thanks Ranger. They definitely don't gain as much as the turbo cars. We're still going to do a race gas map, so I'll look into doing a 50/50 map too.

I may have missed it but what plumbing are you running- intake, TB, plenum and headers?
Still running the stock airbox. That's the next item to address. Intake is the 4.0 intake. Headers are custom built by BBI.

Sounds good, would love to take it up to Newcombs!

While there will be GPS (track) testing and dyno runs for "willing" 4.0+ guys .... I am looking in to inviting everyone (in the 997 GT2/GT3 Forum) for a 2 or 3 track weekend event,.....likely November 2015.

More to come in the coming weeks on a new thread !

Now lets have some more 4.0+ engine photos!!!

Cheers

Did this comparison ever take place?

I ask because I've started very seriously considering a 4.0+ build and was hoping to read some impressions of each company's package before deciding.

We had a great track event as planned, but none of the 4.0+ guys could make it in the end due commitments.....so we just ate up the awesome open track at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch and had a blast....this was back in late April 2016.

Cheers

Man that was the best track weekend... 3 days of a fantastic configuration with all the track time we could eat up.

Thank you again for organizing that Doug!!!

Out of curiosity, are you considering this for an RS or a non-RS GT3?

Thanks for the reply, Doug.

Sorry that the comparison didn't come to fruition but am glad that you guys had a good time.
