New 991 RS - you like?

OP: IMO phenomenal car for what it is and how it has evolved. When I read other posters complain because it is missing outdated features that were on the older cars they are missing the point. Technology always wins, Luddites always lose. If I can pick one up when the conditions outlined above are present so be it but I will always have a 997GT3/RS in the garage.
As much as I like the 991 in 10 years I think the 997 will be to the 993 what the 991 is to the 996.

When the US stock market corrects > 10%+ and real volatility re-enters the markets. I bought my 2010 GT3 in December of 2009 brand new from "The Largest Porsche Dealer in the World" for 10% less than MSRP because they couldn't get so much as a bid on almost any of their inventory. Used cars will be even tougher to move when those conditions happen again.

When I first saw images of the 991 GT3, I thought, MEH...
Once I saw one in person. I really liked it.. Then I saw a 991 Cup in person and my pants were tight....
So YES! I think this car looks great. My ideal garage would have this and my current RS. I think they are both very different!
AND those seats are KILLER.... I'd like a set in black and orange for my .1 please!

I really want to like this car. I think it looks 9/10. Side profile is 10/10. Finally priced "right"
Car is as expected. But pricing was unexpected to me. Thought almost TT pricing or TT pricing and not closer to TTS pricing.
Good for Porsche realizing the value in the "RS" moniker. The value between GT3 and non-RS diverging with less actual substance is a healthy reflection of the 2nd hand market. Now buyers will experience more "normal" depreciation.
I think I will keep this car 3 - 6 months and 1 or 2 track days (if I don't kill myself). I am not sold on this car being more fun day-to-day with PDK. Only living with one can I really know.
Porsche won on new 991 GT3 RS; but the real winner to me is the 991 GT3 non-RS. That's the value price point in the market.

Yes, I like it. Maybe it's that I'm getting soft, maybe because I have an old 911racecar and a 964RSAmerica hot rod track car but I'm ready for a little Lambo and Fiat in my 911...
It's too flashy but it will give a greater sense of occasion, be too fast for the street and comfortable automatic cruiser. Like a Fiat or Lambo at a 30% discount but track worthy with better resale value and lower douce bag vibe, although purple should fix that...
It better be ready for pickup in the summer, not sure if I could take it in the winter or skip ED
The GT4 is the real new GT3... Underpowered neutered but exceedingly capable in the right fast hands I bet. It's the car that should grab me being beautiful( Blue please ),manual, 5 lug, compact light and a track value that's probably more fun in our a mature hands than anything else in the showrooms at any price. But it won't be douce baggy enough, just a Cayman and it pisses me off that it didn't get the full GT dry sump and HP and I already got a manual awesome track car in the 964 that has not even a whif of douce baggery about it, I say even its cool as **** if I get rid of the froggy green crap that came on it.
So yeah for the 20-30 track days it shares with the 964 when im not racing and as a daily it's pretty perfect.

As much as I like the 991 in 10 years I think the 997 will be to the 993 what the 991 is to the 996.

I absolutely love it .........
Initially I had some concerns about the gills or vents in the top of front guards but after seeing them on a production car I must say they do look good and go with the whole styling of the car ............
