No stick. No go. Didn't want to say it at first, but I guess it's more than clear for most of us. The RS may be very different from the regular GT3. But I ever cared for more power and more speed and the latest and greatest. Life is really short. Enjoy what you like, know what you like and don't let anyone convince you of what to like. I like the 997 GT3s.
415 HP or less is more than enough for me. I won't need electronics to help me drive a car with more HP. I don't get the reward I want. I drove the 991 GT3, it revs like a madman, the upshifts are more impressive to me than the downshifts. But, man, it was just point and shoot, really, that was it. It was numbing for my senses. If it's about speed, I wouldn't be interested in the 991 GT3, but the 458 Speciale. That car is magnificent. Yet silly on the street. Everyone talks Nürburgring, try the Hockenheimring. You'll be surprised.
It's interesting to note that nobody who posted in this thread complained about the lack of a manual transmission (I know I forgot to mention it...). Guess we're all past that point. Porsche customers lost...
Fixed it for you.
Lots to like in the new RS but I would still take a manual if offered.
I will not buy this car new unless it is a PTS color. Hell, I'll buy the GT4 with the blue that they have offers before I buy the RS in any of those four colors.
Blue GT4 is nice, you may like the real purple...
