The 911s to 914-6 analogy is bs. The 914-6 was underpowered compared to any S. I bet if they went forward with the 916 you would have seen quite a few people make the switch.

I have only driven a cayman briefly at an into to Porsche event but I think the driving experience will be different enough from a gt3 that it will be a whole new type of fun on the track. I want one but need more garage space...

agree with mooty on this one.

and if rs is auto, don't bother.
looks like the gt4 has piqued a lot of interest already.
even THE GREEK has popped his head out of the pita bread for a whiff of the action!
peter, time to start a sth florida reunion of your old DE crew, this time in gt4's.
the entry price is at the right level without going too crazy on investment, and you can use the car to drive to the track if you wanted to.
the only issue is that i read somewhere on these forums that bent 981's are hard to fix????
991gt3 has people divided over pdk, full-stop. so that game is over, unless the rs is a manual, which MAY be a possibility as hinted by ap in the bovo interview.
issue with rs is that not many people willing to spend that money on track.

Anyone else notice in the catalog that there is automatic downshift throttle blip in Sport Mode? Is that a thing in other base models as well?

And the GT4 is not underpowered?

^385-400 HP? Plenty of power for me to get in trouble. My lap times aren't suffering from speed down the straights, that's for sure. Do I miss the power of my GT3? Occasionally, but a lot of guys probably missed the power of their prior cars when they got into Spec Miatas until they were turning the same lap times of their old cars.

In the Carrera the blip happens only in Sport Plus for cars equipped with the sport Chrono pkg. In Sport you get to do it yourself.

Very nice. The Satin Black wheels and deviated yellow stitching would go so well with your spec....

The seats are a great price... Wonder if you can order a spare set and sell them to me for 5K?

Is it though?
The 67S was no hp monster, and the 914-6 had great balance.
On the track lap times were very comparable.

No radio/AC delete as not race car. Only $$ option is the seats, still miss my Guards Red 993 so Guards Red for color. The OEM wheels will be bubble wrapped and Black wheels in 19's going on, The only only thing I am up in the air on is model delete option.

A fitting replacement for my 6GT3's. See split arms for camber adj. in the specs but no mention of adj sways. Other than that it looks like a winner. Would be in the 2nd round of buyers for sure as the GT350 is still on the radar pending 1st year teething issues.
