Anyone tried to flash their v2 firmware with the DSC utility on a Mac (in a virtual PC environment)?

I just tried (Windows 7 running in VMWare Fusion) and while the tuner s/w works fine, the updater cannot detect the controller?

Me too Mike Levitas responded that it's '''finicky" and might require some tinkering in the device mgr ... I'll post of I can get it to work!

Iva had a couple of exchanges with MikeL & Tom, whatever the issue is with the updater app I dont have enough diagnostics to move this further forward.

There appears to be some differences between the Tuner and the Updater apps, since the former works, the latter does not... I will just wait until TPC integrate
the f/w update functionality into the Tuner app and hope that doesn't f**k the tuner app up...

I wonder how much it would cost to get someone to create it for Mac. I don't imagine that much. There are enough of us Mac users that I'm sure we could all chip in to get it done.

I'm running it on a mac laptop no problem. Just changed some stuff yesterday.
I boot up windows only. It works no problem. I use Parallels.

The Tuner app or the F/w updater? - the former works, the latter does not.

Did you install the correct Windows 10 SiLabs USB driver? (I assume so)...

are you having the same problem, the tuner app works, the f/w updater does not?

I had previously offered to create an Android app for the DSC once the BT support was added to the DSC, and assuming that BT did not (still) require the presence of the SiLabs 210x USB bridge driver (which on the Android needs a new kernel built - which is a non-starter for a phone app)

despite the layers of complexity that virtualization adds, the tuner app (on windows) works on the Mac with VMware fusion, and has also I think been demonstrated to work with Parallels also...

h'mmm I thought that the f/w update was for all 991's ... to improve the responsiveness of the DSC ... oh well - moot point since the updater wont work!
