Put a deposit on a car in Costa Mesa; I figure the responsible thing to do is get a PPI (or at least a set of hands and eyes on the car). Any suggestions?
Those who are in the market probably know which car it is. Bit of a stripper:
BASE 911 GT3
28 Black Leather Seats
490 Sound Package Plus
619 Bluetooth Phone Interface
639 Sport Chrono Package W/Out PCM
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color
870 Universal audio interface
A1 Black
P03 Sport Bucket Seats

GMG is also close but probably a wee bit more pricy. I vote BBi also.

Would offer a rennfax but I'm heading out of town in the morning. Good luck.

Also another option is Stuttgart Performance in Costa Mesa. I believe they're a RL sponsor also, so tell them you're a RL member and maybe they'll give you a discount. As mentioned BBi and GMG are also great options.

How'd the PPI go?

PPI went well: the only thing BBi found was that the steering wheel was slightly off center (5 deg), which could be fixed with an alignment. Other than that, zero overrevs in any range and "really clean car" (per Betim).
I'm still a bit unsure on owning a black car; my preference would be for aqua/atlas/mexico or something fun like that. That said, the number of clean, lower mile cars with no track time and sport buckets at a good price in any color is vanishingly close to zero. (Luckily it won't be a daily driver, so it will probably be pretty easy to keep clean.) Anyone with a black car want to reassure me that I've made the right choice?

Yeah, my friend saw the car and it's good to see it's as represented. Nice.
I hate black. I have owned 1 out of 30+ cars. If I was looking for GT3 color would be my last criteria. I'd get it. I'm **** with my cars but black just requires another level of OCD :-)
Too bad it's leaving town. Come visit us at COTA at end of Feb.
