Default 991 GT3 ,A Drivers Car?

I am at VIR this weekend without my RS. Don;t ask why.
So I drove my Panamera GTS ....Amazing Sedan BTW.
My Good friend offered me his new 991 GT3 , I drove the car for 40 min. Amazing machine, no other car was was able to come close to it. One foot on the gas, the other on the Break, Just point and shoot. WOW, like a bat out of hell, incredible closing speed. I did not break a sweat for the whole sesson. I came back in and got out of it smilling and said to my friends. I think that I am never selling my 997.2 RS. No matter what I buy next, the new RS a Z06 , whatever. This car is truly the last and best Drivers car. I recalled finishing my run sweating and exhaused. I love that feeling. It not that the 991 GT3 is a bad drive, it just is not a drivers car anymore. I passed everycar I came upon, but then what, I can do the same at Iracing without leaving my house.
My conclusion is : There is and will never be a new sports car that is more engaged and precise than the 997 RS. you can disagree but that will never change my mind.
I am so glad I drove the 991 GT3 before selling my RS.

EVO mag agrees with you on that and although I've yet to drive the 991 GT3, I think I would, too. By all accounts, the new car is beyond capable, but moving forward few cars will be as tactile as a 7RS. I'm keeping mine, too.

However, I am getting a 1GT3 as a daily drive.

So cool to be able to drive and compare both cars at the track.

I wonder if this is how early 911 drivers felt as the platform progressed?

engaging: drive a 996gt3, 964RS. the 997RS would pale by comparison including the 4.0. but you are right on 991, it's beyond incredible car.

Well said Mo... Just confirms what everybody's saying
Prices can only go up on porsche's last true drivers car... Tracked or not as time passes they will be restored as new like previous RSs
Finest car I've ever owned!

Ruining my day.
I may "upgrade" to keep my RSA or add a Z28 from my 991RS...

I guess I'll find out next month if I made the right or wrong move from my point of view. That's the only one I care about.

While I would tend to agree with you (haven't driven a 991 gt3 yet) there are plenty of .2 rs for sale...which means they are either too expensive or people don't agree or both (for the moment).

I think many of the early adopters/upgraders are waiting/betting for the new rs to bridge the gap between the .2 rs and new gt3.

I continue to be thrilled with my .1 And wish I could drive it everyday.

991 gt3 is like a gtr, 458, mp4. do you want to drive? or do you want to sit in a seat while the computer drives for u? all stunning cars though

Great cars but they were not precise enough to pair up with the RS.
My point is if you had to choose only one car to enjoy, which will it be ?
