Will be interesting to see what you think of it compared to the other 911s you had...

first of all congrats to you! Beautiful car! By the way what is a fair price for a 2010 GT3 with low miles.

OK, so an update...

This car is so good, it gives me motion sickness. I went out last Sunday with a few friends on some mountain roads and yesterday morning did the same thing but on my own. On both occasions I got nauseous. Not kidding. This only happened to me once before in my old RSA at the Glen years ago on a hot August day. Never since.

In the GT3 braking is harder than anything I've owned before. Turning is so sharp and precise and the little hint of understeer doesn't bother me (yet). Acceleration seems as good as my old turbo but without the wait. But the best part is how nimble it feels and the amount of grip even on a damp road with leaves all over it. For some of you track rats this is nothing new but for me it's uncharted territory and a lot of fun to explore.

With the driving aids off this thing is very tossable and fun to drive on a smooth curvy road with a few hairpins. I'm still learning the ropes on the transmission, the 8500 RPM redline is addicting but I also feel a shorter gear set would do wonders for it.

More observations to come as I get more comfortable with the car...

For now here are a few pics from yesterday:

Gotta be up and out early before the roads get crowded...

Sunrise over the Bronx...

Nice little hill to climb with lots of rocks on the side to make the exhaust note even more pronounced.

Wonder if these guys have the proper tools for the centerlocks...

Probably not.

Oh, and I mention this is a great grocery getter?

I've had a shopping cart roll right into my car once (not the GT3). Parked in front of the store exactly as you were.
I've gone grocery shopping in the GT3 too but I park far far away in the no-mans land

LOL, the shopping cart was at away. And it's red so it's not like it would leave a mark or anything

Nice update Ilko.

I know a long time Porsche 993 TT driver that had to give up his 997.1 GT3 cause it caused him to feel dizzy. He ended up getting a Suburu WRX since it wasn't as sharp and it allowed him to continue doing high performance driving.

The only thing I dislike about the 997.2 GT3s is the center locks, the rest of the car and its features is pure awesome.

So I guess you won't be going back to a 997 TT?

Nice. You are local then? I have been searching for other gt3 owners who wake up early like me to pound the pavement. I am close to the city

ILKO-beautiful car! The red looks stunning in the fall background. I would not be surprised to hear that passengers were getting motion sickness but little surprised to hear that you were. Did you find the suspension a bit to stiff on the back roads?

Hey Carm, yes I got the most out of the 997TT.

I'm in Manhattan. Let me know if you want to get together.

Thanks! No, it's not at all too stiff. I think I feel more confident taking tight corners at a higher speed. Also the initial bite of the brakes is so immediate, unlike any of the other cars that I've had. Need to get some Sea Bands or just plain man up
