Spark plugs and fuel filter are finiky jobs to do while the engine is in the car...not impossible by any means but they are 10x easier to do while the motor is out. They are both relatively cheap to do as well.

I have the RSS mounts. Very solid...car feels wrought out of a solid piece of metal. Especially if you have monoball suspension. Cons: will rattle your fillings out on the street, more vibration through the cabin.

I really thought about differential....but i keep lying to myself i don't need it.
Can the differential be checked easily to make sure everything is fine ?

^mickey mouse way to check LSD is kaput(not a sure way- only way is open up LSD). Jack up one rear wheel and in neutral with ebrake off(be sure to place a piece of wood on front tire to prevent rolling). Try to turn lifted rear wheel cw or ccw- if hard to budge LSD is still good. If turning wo any resistance- its kaput. Only thing the 7's have low preload like 28/40 vs 60/40 in the 6 so can't even tell u what's considered resistance when turning but if it's turning freely its probably toast. When I had a guard put in did same above test- wheel would not budge. Mike

Spyrex, I have the RSS mounts cw the full RSS tarmac series LCA and dog bones. As Nathan stated it will transmit some vibration and lumpiness of the engine at idle. Nothing intrusive at all IMHO. You dont have to do the mounts when the engine is out, Very easy to do when in.
My 997.1 has 70,000km and the dealer tried to test the LSD as 996FLT6 described and diagnosed an open diff. Took the diff out and did a bench test and voila still barely within Porsche specs.. Ended up going with a Guards so at least got the R and R looked after at no cost. Much better diff than factory.

I have RSS mounts - very nice. I would do front and rear main seals, as others pointed out, any hard to reach rubber bits, Suspension bits are always nice...

I did the turbo charge install. Go big or go home.
Thanks. I had them tested. They said all is fine.
did all that recently on my lift. Including new transmission mount.
