^^ Walking around money for kalifornia crowd.

Great day today finally invested some on track time in seat position, finally not banging my head against the bar by thinning out Halo part of the seat and throwing out the seat rails. Nice.

Took out perfectly fine Pagid R29R and 14F and replaced with PFC 08R and 11F, we'll see how that will work with the cars brake bias tomorrow.

Had still a few session at the track, it was hot and greasy and because I drove very little and the heat I was very sloppy. Finally focused on did a clean lap, probably a little too clean for the best lap of the day 2:035 using the bypass. Locals say bypass is about 2 seconds so I think I picked up some time on the rest of the track:

Now we go drink Tequila at the Mexican place, just like we do at Sebring :-)

Keep the RSA out in CA and come out for the GGR event Labor Day weekend. I'm trying to get Mooty to do a 4-day track weekend since HOD is doing Friday.

PCA GGR has a weekend track event at TH running the 5-mile course on Sept 6/7. Hooked on Driving is running the 5-mile course on Friday Sept 5th hence me planting the seat of having another Mooty private track day on Thursday Sept 4th. I'm not missing that weekend like I missed this weekend...

At Thunderhill...bring the wife up and let her shop in SF or leave her at some spa in Napa while you track at TH.

ThunderRing was fun today! Best time 3:38 getting motivated by LAR pushing me along.
We have videos later :-)
But now on my way to Autoclub in Fontana.
Should take 8 hours, but not at the recommended 70 mph.

Almost as much fun as on track driving today.

I think we should to annual coast to coast Gumbal style race coast to coast with our dualies towing Porsches to and from Sebring / ThunderRing

Indeed. Mooty days are GOOD!!! Tini was in a naughty mood and laid down a staggering 1:51.0. Woo hoo!!!

On the other hand... she incurred a bit of body work late in the day when the hood flew open in the pit lane and cracked the windshield and taco'd the hood. Ouch!!!

Very little LOL. I have to multi task to make this all work..
I should get special exemption from drivers meetings for being always a gentleman on track..

Just got to the Hotel. LA traffic on Friday night is pretty rowdy, Wake the dead got a proper workout tonight

I am all in on that. Already making plans for fall in florida.

Lar and mooty, get on the band wagon. Chasen will drive out the cars, you just need to share a 48 footer like peter and randy did. Mancation 2015 at sebring winterfest

Martin, full of good idea's. Maybe not bad that you're not around much and working because you could get me in all kinds of trouble...

September is still miserable in Florida, (reminds me to get my generator serviced) September is her birthday, maybe I can clean up my desk and head back here for a weekend or 2.

There you go! The smartest Californian I know.
I bet you have been to as many tracks and track days as me.
These guys I think believe they fall off the earth of the leave the state line by car. It would be so easy to get 8 cars to Orbit in in transporters and drive out a trailer or 2 for those who like to tinker. Between us I am sure we know plenty of top notch shops that can do a track event every week of the winter between them on the east coast from Florida to Canada...

Florida would be a good start for November through Feb, than head North...

Anyhou I am at AutoClub today in Fontana. Kinda of a too easy track, like Daytona. The RSA really feels like it wants to kill me over 120MPH in 5th gear. No bit in front no bite in rear. More like its ready for liftoff.
Unless I find the will to die tomorrow I wont be able to do much for laptimes.

Lots of full throttle at this track, the car sucks gas like crazy, 7.5 Gallons per session and I can only barely do 2 sessions before having to drive into own to get garbage California hippie rated 91 Octane.

Supposedly the track pumps are open tomorrow.

My first session out was a 1.57 and my best lap of the day was a 1.56 with big lifting on the banking at about 130MPH. If I go flat it would be seconds, but I don't know if I trust the car enough.. The Nitto's are either not up to PSI yet or get greasy fast in the 100F heat. Dry so we're comfy of course.
Had fun with 996 "Gelb996" drover who is also here for the first time and a fast driver, I am no match to his re-geared 996 on Hoosiers, but we had fun him chasing me down today.

Today's laps. Now beer drinking time, tomorrow I try again in cooler morning air.
