When purchasing a car, how do you factor in track miles into the wear of the GT3 RS?

Thanks for that piece of info! It's reasons like this I'm on this board. Some of you guys are really know your stuff on here. On a typical board, I would get questions trying to decipher what I meant by 'loose'. Thanks!!

I'm not concerned with range 1 or 2 over revs whatsoever. The car with 15,000 ignitions had about 200 stage 4 over revs. The car with 35,000 stage 1 ignitions had stage 5 ignitions. lol

Third, you know that the simple act of driving the car (even on the track) doesn't automatically turn it into a squeaking/rattling bucket of bolts, right? Fourth, you know that NOT driving the car on the track is no guarantee that the car won't squeak/rattle, right? Good, just checking.

Don't get me wrong, I'd probably buy one if finances were no object, but I have $10 (finances are no object!) that you'll sell the thing inside of 3 years.
I'm as big a car enthusiast as they come. Driven 3 GT3s, 2 GT3 RS, 1 GT2, 2 F430s, 1 F355, 1 LP640, 1 LP560, 3 R8 V8s, 1 R8 V10, Jaguar F-type, 2 911 turbos, 2 M5s, 1 M6, 4 E92 M3s... Just within the past year only. That should give you an idea of how I know I want an RS.

GT3/GT3 RS was by far the the most incredible car I've ever driven. I even love driving around little potholes slowly because of how stiff the suspension is. Not going back on this one. Was meant to have this car. It's epic! My buddy has KW V3 Clubsports installed on his M3 daily driver. It's even worse than the RS. I know what I'm buying.

clearly you have reservations on this car. so why are you trying so hard to buy it?
when you see the right car for you, you will know.
cars i buy with due diligence are always the one's i sell.
those i bought bc i "felt" it are the one's that stays... well stay longer than 6 months.
Checking out a car tomorrow, and another car on Friday. Both sound promising.

So I bought my own and now I make sure to downshift whenever I drive by his house. Not sure if that violates the restraining order or not
Haha, now this is a story!

I too was very analytical since this was a major purchase and my first step in the Porsche world. I still have the google sheet where I have aspects scored and every grey RS on the market would be inserted and scored. While track time does put more wear on the vehicle, do realize these cars are meant to take it..and love it. So either pay a little extra for a cream puff or deal with one that has spent time on the track. Either way, you'll get an amazing ride.
Bold part is exactly how I feel. The only other car I've ever felt that way about is an F40. Both cars have so much character and personality.

I have an extensive diecast Porsche cars but it's not for sale : ). Mooty catching up though but only 2000 models short but he is gaining. He was 3000 models short 6 months ago. I don't collect 997.2 gt3 models : ). Mike
