This thing is a beast.
There isn't much we're allowed to tell you about the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06... yet. What we can say is that we're extremely excited for the car's official live debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week. And we can also show you some images, courtesy of an accidental leak by Left Lane News spotted by an Autoblog reader named Jarrod (since removed) and a follow-up post from the boys at Jalopnik.
As you can see, the new Corvette Z06 will boast plenty of add-on aero bits designed to keep the car connected to the tarmac at speeds that we'd assume would be up near the 200-mph mark. We see a deeply vented hood, a large rear spoiler, an aggressive front splitter and additional cooling vents in the fender, rear quarter and hind haunches.
Looking closely at the interior image reveals what appears to be paddle shifters that don't match the what we'd expect to be seeing with a manual transmission. What that means, exactly, is sure to be revealed in short order. There's no data just yet on what's powering the new Z06, but we've seen indications of well over 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque, and we're not expecting to be disappointed on the power front.
We're sure you're just as excited as we are. Check out the leaked images above.

They got rid of the fender gap. If it amps up the dynamic and steering feedback to 997 levels, I might be game.

This is a complete beast & great value - as is usually the case, however it's completely over styled.
Looks like a bad aftermarket kit. Front is ok, but he back......oh my....
A friend has a Blue C6 Carbon Edition Z06, which IMHO is the best looking Vette.

I like how here a 60 year old shaped GT3 with a big ole wing, round lights and checkerboard stickers and bright color schemes is awesome, but a real mean looking car with functional upgrades is too much.
That makes me lol.

I don't think there will be a ZR1, that initially started off as supposedly a 1 year run. I think it's just crowding the market because how do they one up this?
I think there is a chance for a more racy version of the Z06, but I doubt it's called a ZR1. I don't think GM is in a hurry to put out a 700 hp vehicle.

the Z06 looks much better then regular corvette. It will be hairy fast and for the money , unbeatable.
The ZR1 died with the last ZR1 model. Will be a long time until they decide to offer another one.
Hard enough selling regular vettes and Z06….
GM bean counters are tight.
